yeh duniya ke….badalte rishtey…"
The tides are changing, slowly but surely. Today's episode was one of these waves in this rising tide of changing relationships. Will it end in a Tsunami? Only time will tell.
Asad-Zoya: My favorite relationship, so I will start there. His OCD and her messiness-even though a BIG barrier between the two- is reaching an acceptable compromise. She cleaned his laptop and desktop while he tried his best to ignore the chip crumbs and coke can. They can't change but can accept each other's idiosyncrasies. What a big change from a few weeks ago. They worked as a team today. He didn't pooh-pooh her advise; instead acted upon her recommendation. Of course, she took liberty by teasing him about the possibility of getting caught for hacking- mujhey tho koi pakad nahin paayega, lekin aapka IP address… Loved his expression at that time. He was exasperated but ceded to her plan. He has hopefully learnt his lesson that he can't dismiss her advice every time. She is an intelligent woman and even if he won't admit it, he has acknowledged it. Again, what a change! The brush of their hands was very poignant and a reminder that even though they are working together, there is a ridge between them. That slap is going to be a barrier in their relationship for some time. The bandaid on her hand is a reminder of the trauma, but a wound that can heal over time. On the contrary the 'Z' on his right palm has been etched forever. Good symbolism there.
Rashid- Najma: We had a little glimpse of their relationship last week at the hospital. She did turn to him for comfort but today, when things are more stable, her reaction to seeing him at the door was less comforting for her. Najma, who has always seen Asad as her father figure, was stunned to see her real dad at the door. Although hesitant, she let him in and even offered him a seat and water like she would for any guest. When he asked how she was doing, she flinched, upset at why he cared after all these years. Even though her father asked her whether he could meet Dilshaad, she turned to her real father figure to get permission. It will take a while before she starts respecting Rashid as her real father. She will, however, be the easier nut to crack.
Humeira- Ayaan: Since the engagement fiasco, there has been an awkward distance between the two best friends. Humeira, even though had tried hard to be 'normal' can never be herself in front of him. It's too bad that Ayaan can't see the love in her eyes. Their relationship has definitely suffered thanks to Razia's shenanigans.
Raziya- Badi B: The clash of the titans. Badi B, a mute spectator for 17 years has suddenly woken up from stupor. What's taken her so long to figure out Raziya's evil mind? Badi B is right on the money this time. Raziya has been stumped for the first time in life. She has been caught red handed but knowing Raziya, I fear she is going to come with another 'chaal' and this time blackmail Badi B into secrecy. I bet she will bring Rashid's crime from 17 years ago. Badi B will be forced to stay quiet so that Rashid doesn't end up in jail.
Looking forward to all these changing relationships. Hope this new tide brings Asya closer, frees Rashid from the chains of his relationship with the Siddiquis, makes Ayaan realize what Humeira means for him….
