Asad's completely at a loss...just three days ago he couldn't stand the sight of Zoya and now she's intertwined himself into his life - bonded together forever. He doesn't know what to do and he can't figure out how did it happen. This was not meant to happen.
Life is organized and supposed to happen according to Asad Ahmed Khan. He was supposed to go to a wedding and come back. He was not supposed to have such intense feelings for the girl who was staying at his house; hew as not supposed to care for her. He cannot figure out what do with those feelings.
So in typical Asad style, he decides that he he does not talk about the incident and forgets that it happened, he can forget everything else including the fact his heart opened up and accepted Zoya...he embraced her, held her close to himself, hugged her, cried for her, kissed her, he dropped every guard before and showed a vulnerable and wounded self to her. That just cannot happen.
For Asad, life is better if he turn the clock back to where he left...hating and resenting Zoya, blaming her for the problems. He wants to remind himself that she is a problem and that all of this is unreal. But it i not easy to hate again; the more he tries to push Zoya away, the more he will continue to care for her. The minute she is hurt again, a trip, a fall, a burn on her hand from the stove, Asad is going to be there to rescue his fair maiden.
Beautiful work from KSG...the confusion, the dilemma, the the anguish of coming to terms with the truth that he deeply cares for Zoya - he wants her but this was not meant to happen.
