Yes I agree. The fact that she may not have felt accepted by Avantika and even Preeti was one of the reasons for Sheila to turn as bitter as she did. I think she always thought that the daughters of the house never thought of DM as her house too. Or that she has a right to this home above all, as she married the son of the house and came to live there, leaving her own family behind.
We have to understand that when a women leaves her family and comes to another, she expects certain things, and if those things are not fulfilled them she becomes resentful. As far as Sheila was concerned, Avantika came back to her family home when her marriage had trouble and usurped the position that she believed belonged to herself and Anuj. That was the main problem. Her being a small town girl meant that she was not as open minded about all these things as a city person might have been. So it would have caused more tension. A more sophisticated women may have reacted differently to Avantika and possible SHE would have reacted differently to her as well.
I think Sheila was always insecure about being a small town girl. Unlike Pankuri who never cared about that. She was an educated and smart girl. So she is different from Sheila. She is traditional, but open minded.
I agree that all relationships are a give and take, and mistakes were made by both Sheila and Avantika, not just Sheila. The way Sheila acted only made things worse. But Avantika now has acknowledged her part in it, and finally they can move forward.
It's good how Aneesha gave respect to the daughters in law's of the house and asked them if they are good with her staying? That was VERY smart. It is giving the women of the house who left their own family to be a part of their's their due importance. It is acknowledging that the women who came to their house are the ones who will carry on the legacy of their family. After all, it is always a women who joins your family that helps to extend your "Vansh" by giving you children. Your own daughter will be busy creating a "vansh" for another family.
So finally Sheila as a daughter in law and a sister in law, got her due importance. What she has always craved. To be accepted and given importance. That is what everyone wants. To be loved and accepted. Sheila is now exception.
