The veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who essays the role of Purushottam Deewan in Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara (Rajshri Productions) has been an epitome of love and compassion. Over the years, the man who is the patriarch of the Deewan family has seen his family grow.. The man seemed to be bothered over the future of his daughter Preeti (Ashlesha Sawant). Also, he carried the big truth of Aditya (Nakuul Mehta) being responsible for the death of his wife within himself for years..

However, the time has now come for him to breathe a sigh of relief with Preeti settling in life post her wedding. He is further relieved as Aditya, who went into a mental trauma with the truth coming out gets better under Pankhuri's (Disha Parmar) care. The aged man who has completed all his responsibilities towards his family is now in peace!! Wondering what we are trying to tell?

A reliable source informs us that post the wedding of Preeti and Aditya getting better, Nanaji will have a natural death, which will be a very peaceful one. We hear that this major twist in the tale was necessary for the story to take to a new phase.

When contacted, Mukesh Khanna asked us, "Where did you get to hear this from? We have not shot anything like this."

He then went on to say, "Well, Nana has done everything for his family. There is nothing left to do. So it might be true, but I cannot commit on anything at the moment."

We hear that the death sequence of Nanaji will go on air by the end of July (2013).
