I think Guptas and Geeta are neighbours. So they know her very well.

Geeta is Pankhuri's neighbour in Kullu. Remember her scurrying away when she accidently bumped into Pankhu's mum when she was dragging her bag. And she very well knows what she is upto that's why she told a lie to Pankhu's mum that she is going to Chandigarh. Sheela's plan may not backfire because Geeta is just money hungry and an accomplice. If she did not know what she was upto she would not have hidden from Pankhu. Well one thing she is not aware is the whole Kullu family's presence and this could lead to the plan being a failure.

But then im confused😕 coz didnt Geeta see Pankhu earlier by the road while she was meeting Maami?!! still she went ahead to take the risk..

She did see Pankhu while talking to Mami that is why she quickly disappeared behind the trees.
