Part 7

Misha and Piya cautiously entered the jungle and followed the footsteps. As they went deeper into the jungle, Piya was looking around in fear when she heard Misha's scream. She quickly turned to Misha, who slowly pointed at the ground. Piya was shocked beyond words when she saw a body lying on the ground covered in blood. She got flashes of the dream she saw a few nights ago. She saw herself running in the jungle, then a group of hooded people and then she saw a body on the ground. She came back to the present and realised it was the same body. Her dream had come true. They fearfully approached it hoping it was not Kabir and knelt down. Misha slowly whilst shaking turned it over and as she saw the face, her world ended. It was Kabir.

"Kabir!" Misha screamed.

Piya looked at him with horror, "What happened to him?"

Misha shook him shouting, "Get up Kabir!"

He did not move at all. Piya held his wrist to feel his pulse, her own heart was beating fast. She froze at the spot and dropped his wrist, it was the biggest shock she ever got in her life. How could Kabir leave them suddenly one day? Tears blurred her vision and she started to cry. But Misha was not ready to accept what had happened, she kept shaking him and patting his face.

"Misha stop!" Piya cried. "Kabir's gone."

"No!" Misha shouted and tears started pouring out of her eyes.

Piya got up and called for an ambulance. She looked back at Misha, who was still shaking him and pleading him to come back. But it was all no use, her best friend and Misha's love was gone forever.

A few hours later

Abhay was waiting at the entrance of a secluded house. The door opened and Alina gestured him to come inside.

"Why did you call me?" Abhay asked.

"I found out that the power is hidden somewhere here in Dehradun," Alina replied and Abhay looked at her with surprise. "So I have brought the witch here."

"Has she told you anything else?" he questioned.

"Come and see yourself," she took his hand and started walking.

Alina stopped at a spot in the storeroom and moved the rug on the floor to reveal a trapdoor. She opened it and they both took the stairs leading to the basement. Abhay followed her through the dark passageway and soon they reached a locked door. She opened it with a key and they entered the room. She switched a dim light on and Abhay saw a woman lying on the floor with her eyes closed, trapped by what looked like beams of light.

"Meet the good for nothing daughter of a very powerful witch," Alina smirked. "Panchi."

Panchi, who was partly conscious opened her eyes and started saying weakly, "Let me go please. I don't know anything. I don't know-"

"Shut up!" Alina shouted losing her temper. "You know everything."

Panchi stood up and noticed Abhay. She looked at him hopefully, "Please free me."

"You tell us the secret and we'll free you," Abhay said.

"Please," Panchi said and she accidentally hit the beams and shrieked in pain.

"Come on lets go," Alina ordered Abhay.

Once back in the lounge, Abhay asked, "Are you sure she has the information?"

"I'm completely sure," Alina answered.

After a pause, Abhay questioned her, "Does her clan know a vampire abducted her?"

"No, I have a very strong shield around myself so no one can detect me."

"Do you think she's well guarded here? What if she escapes with her powers?"

"No she cannot," she said firmly. "Powerful blood runs through her veins but she is not good with powers at all. She's quite dim."

An evil smile appeared on her face, "She won't be able to stand the torture and will soon open her mouth."

Raichand Mansion

It was early morning when Abhay entered home and straightway headed towards the stairs.

"Where have you been?" Chand asked.

Abhay stopped and saw Chand and Haseena in the hall.

"I was out with friends," he answered.

"From when did you start to socialise?" Chand asked him further.

Abhay ignored him and Chand threw another question at him, "What is Alina doing in Dehradun?"

"Why don't you go and ask her?" Abhay shot at him clearly fed up.

"Have you joined her again?"

"Just leave me alone!"

He zoomed off to his room and Chand narrowed his eyes noticing his snappy behaviour, "What is wrong with him? Why is he displaying these human emotions? Has he forgotten who he is?"

"What is wrong with you Chand?" Haseena retorted. "As soon as he entered the house you started questioning him. Why don't you trust him?"

"Haseena, we must keep an eye on him," Chand told her. "It's for his own good."

"But I don't want to lose him like last time because of your unnecessary interference in his life," Haseena said coldly. "I know Alina very well she won't leave Abhay easily and that is why she is here. So we must not do anything that will make him go back to her."

Abhay was pacing in his room. Haseena was alright but Chand asked way too many questions and that irritated him badly. Then there was Alina, who was also a pain. She always proved she was two steps ahead of him. He had only found out the location of the witch but she had already kidnapped her. In the end, she was stronger than him because she had gained many powers illegally. He wanted power to rule everyone but if he was with Alina she would always rule over him and Abhay did not want that at all. He would have to do something.
