A house somewhere

Alina was sitting on a chair in a dark room with her phone on her ear, "Mahesh, have you found success in the job I gave you?"

"Not yet," Mahesh answered. "But I'm very close."

Disappointed she cut the call and went into deep thought.

"You made a big mistake by leaving me Abhay but I will not leave you easily. You are my possession," she said aloud. "I will reach it before you and then you will have to come back to me."

An evil smirk appeared on her face.

Raichand Mansion

Piya was leaning against a wall with her eyes closed. She had calmed down a bit. Usually whenever she was in a problem, her family immediately took her out of it but today she had learned to face her fear and so did not feel much scared anymore. Next moment the lights were back on. She opened her eyes and sighed in relief. As she went down the stairs, she remembered that rude stranger.

"Stupid idiot moron," Piya said irritably. "Is this the way to behave with a girl?"

Misha spotted her and rushed to her, "Piya, are you alright? Where were you?"

"Relax Misha, I'm fine. I just went to the washroom," Piya told her.

They both noticed a girl stood in the middle of the hall with a dreamy expression on her face. It was Ruhi, their college friend, who was currently working at the Raichand Empire.

"Ruhi," Piya called her but Ruhi did not respond so Piya shook her and that was when she came out of her trance.

"What happened to you, Tracker?" Misha asked her amused.

"He's so hot, Misha!" Ruhi said breathlessly. "And he's joining office from tomorrow."

"Who?" Piya asked Ruhi curiously.

"Abhay Raichand," Ruhi answered excitedly.

"Where is he?" Piya questioned looking around.

"There," Ruhi pointed to a boy stood with Chand, who was introducing him to some people.

They had their back to them so Piya could not see him. Slightly disappointed she looked away and started talking to Misha and Ruhi. Abhay's phone rang, he looked at the caller name and went outside to attend the call.

"Piya, have you got eyeliner?" Ruhi asked.

"Yeah but it's in my purse and I've left my purse in the car," Piya told her.

"I really need it Piya," Ruhi said.

"Come with me, we'll get it."

They went out and Piya gave her the eyeliner. They were heading back inside when she noticed someone stood on the bridge and recognized it was Abhay Raichand from his back. She started to walk towards him whilst Ruhi carried on unaware of this. Abhay, who was on the phone sensed her and realised it was the same girl he had met upstairs from the sweet scent.

"Good. I'll speak to you later, Mahesh," Abhay said and cut the call.

"Oh so you safely came downstairs," he said with his back to her. "I thought the dark must have swallowed you by now."

Piya also recognized he was the same stranger by his cold voice and even now he was being rude.

"Abhay Raichand, how dare you talk to me like this?" she asked sternly.

Abhay slowly turned around to tell her how he dared but as soon as he caught sight of her face, he was stunned. It was the same beautiful face he loved 100 years ago. The face of Maithali. He could not believe his eyes. Could it be Maithali, he thought. He slowly started to take steps towards her. Piya lost her words when she saw him. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen. She was so lost in his hypnotic blue eyes that she forgot he had been impolite. Abhay was now stood very close to her, staring into her face blankly getting flashbacks of Maithali. Piya blinked and became aware of their closeness. She wondered why he was gazing at her with such intensity and she started to blush.

"Abhay, what happened? Are you OK?" she put her hand on his shoulder.

Suddenly Abhay's shock and curiosity turned into anger as he came back to the present. He angrily removed her hand, shocking her.

"Go away from here," he said. "Just get lost!"

A hurt and fuming Piya hurried inside. Soon the party was over and the guests started to leave. Throughout the party, Abhay glared at Piya angrily whenever she looked at him. He instantly started to hate this girl. He could not stand that face smiling and laughing and he felt as if Maithali was laughing at him living this dark life. Piya was confused and could not understand why he was being mean to her. The way he looked at her outside gave her the impression he liked her but his sudden change of behaviour made her think he was probably mentally disturbed.

On their way back home, Arnab was driving when he began to experience some problem and next moment the car stopped.

"Why did you stop the car, Arnab?" Madhu asked him.

"I didn't stop it," he replied whilst trying to restart the engine. "I'll just check."

He got out and opened the bonnet.

"What's wrong with the car now?" Piya asked impatiently and she turned to look out of the window and found out they had stopped right near the jungle. She started getting uncomfortable as she remembered her nightmares. It may look eerie but she felt a strange attraction towards it. She felt it had answers to many of her unknown questions. Soon Arnab was back in the car and drove away.

Here this part ends. It may be boring because nothing much is happening so far... so if you don't like it I understand 😳
