The moment the car stopped in the parking lot, of the mall Ayush bolted the door and ran inside while Pia shouted for him to stop. With his extra sense and hearing powers he quickly detected Tristan and Isis's whereabouts in the caf and gave them a jolt of surprise by hugging Isis from the back without them noticing his approach.

Ayush- Gotcha.

Isis (smiling broadly all are worries melting away) - Yeah you did, my little man. So where are mom and dad?

Ayush- Catching up. They kind of patched up in the car you know, and completely forgot me for some moments.

He pouted sadly knowing full well the effects of his puts on her.

Tristan smiled hearing this while Isis mocked anger- How could the forget you? Wait I'll give your noodle haired mom and fanged daddy piece of my mind ok.

Ayush (grinning mischievously) - No need Isis. Dad got royally bollocked by what sounds like my grand mom. You should have heard her screaming and shouting at him. The whole car was shaking, worse than a banshee.

Tristan and Isis both burst out laughing at this. And Isis placed a nice wet kiss on his cheek.

There you are, shouted Pia reaching the place, with Abhay behind her.

Pia (angrily)- Why did you run away like this Ayush? It's raining buckets, look how wet you got.

While Pia was fussing over Ayush, Abhay Tristan and Isis nodded to each other and Tristan striked up a convo with Abhay.

Tristan- So, I guess it's a good opportunity for us to get to know each other as our earlier meetings did not go that well.

Abhay smiled and shaked his hands with him- I am sorry I misunderstand you and also spied on you but duty calls.

Tristan- Exactly. No hard feelings we start fresh.

Isis (chimed in)- I still am not able to digest you stalking us but truce, (she reached out her hand and Abhay shook it).

Pia smiled looking at all this. Somewhere, bit by bit her world is coming back together, if only she could have her family too. She sighed at this. And Ayush sensed his mom's sadness. Pulling his little hands around her neck he assured her.

Ayush whispering at his mother's ears hugging her- We will meet them soon. Dad will take us na?

Pia hugged him tighter, her heart swelling with joy and hope at the moment.

Isis- Now whats up with you two. Now only moments ago this little one here was complaining about you two here.

Abhay looked at Ayush who broke free of his mothers hug and grinned shiftily.

Ayush- I was just kidding coz I am a kid and am allowed it.

Shaking his head they all went different directions to shop. Ayush went with Tristan and Isis to select his birthday costume. It was sea animal themed. While Abhay and Pia went to do the rest of shopping for Ayush's birthday gift and gifts for his friends too.

In the toy store Abhay drived Pia crazy by asking her questions regarding ayush's likes and dislikes. For a change there was a role reversal between them. It was Pia was at the receiving end of bombarding questions by Abhay. Pia was also having a hard time stopping Abhay to buy the whole shop for Ayush. Because nor was Abhay only persistent but also he had this happy smile pasted across his face the entire time he selected stuffs for his son with Pia.

When she asked him what was so he happy about, Abhay took her hands on his and walking slowly with her, he simply replied- I am feeling alive after a long time. And this (squeezing her hands gently) feels so good. This is where I belong.

Pia smiled and glowed at his words and also acknowledged it as the first time when they are out in public hand in hand like a happy couple. After all their relationship back at home was always under wraps and even though no one knows them here it feels great to be beside Abhay like this especially when every woman in the mall is eyeing Abhay open mouthed.

Abhay stopped before a door and Pia looked at him enquiringly? He motioned towards the glass and Pia looked to see a beautiful saree on display. Abhay dragged her inside and insisted her to try it.

Pia after much argument went inside and Abhay patiently waited outside for her to emerge when he heard someone called his name.

He turned around and was surprised to see the person standing behind him.
