Abhay: (talking drunk again) "tell her Jeh I won't let her marry anyone else!" (not looking at Piya)
(Piya looks at him scared and looks at Sid to see if he noticed anything. But Sid doesn't react to his words. Jeh sits in the car and drives away)
Sid: (to Piya) "wow, I guess he is in love! what we do for love right?" (laughs)
Piya: "let's go home" (sad)
Sid: "he affected you too? poor guy. I wonder what kind of a girl broke his heart." (Piya looks down sad)
Sid: "ok, let's go home" (they sit in his car and go home).

Jeh: " Abhay why the hell are you doing this... Why are you ruining your life..."
Abhay: "Why am i doing this, hmmm let me think... oh ya because the girl i love is marrying somebody else... "
Jeh looks at him sad...
Abhay: "I love her so much Jeh... Why does she hurt me so much... i cannot see her... with anybody else... i cannot live without her, i cannot live... without her" (cries)
Jeh (to himself) :" i am so sorry Abhay i wish i could do something to help you " (sad)

The next day college cafe
Piya is sitting alone when misha comes to her
Misha: hey piya
Piya: hey
Misha: how you doing
Piya: i am fine Misha
Jeh: yes Misha she is absolutely fine, nothing effects her not even Abhay's misery...(comes from behind)
Misha: Jeh what are you saying
(piya has tears in her eyes)
Jeh: ask your bestfriend, she has become heartless, she is only thinking about her family, (looks at piya) why did you come in abhay's life when you had to leave him... it might be easy for you to forget him and move on but not for him, he is dying piya...
Misha:" i know piya that you too are suffering but isnt there any way to stop this wedding"
Piya: " no Misha its decided abhay will have to face it, we cannot be together..."(wiping her tears)
Jeh: " forget it misha, lets go" (leaves)
Misha looks at piya sympathetically: " sorry for Jeh's behavior piya but he cannot see abhay hurt"
Piya:" you dont have to apologise misha, i am happy that Abhay has a friend like Jeh"
Misha: " i am always here for you sweety... will meet you after college"
Piya:"ok"
everyone has gone to class. Piya turns to go to class too. Suddenly, Abhay grabs her arm and pulls her towards him)
Piya: "what are you doing here? shouldn't you be in class?"
Abhay: "shouldn't you?" (hugs her)
Piya: "Abhay please, let go of me"
Abhay: "you once told me that you wanted to be in my arms forever"
Piya: "well things change"
Abhay: "nothing has changed" (Piya tries to free herself. He doesn't let go)
Piya: "I am late to class"
Abhay: "Who was he last night? it was him, wasn't he?"
Piya: "There is no point to discuss this" (doesn't look at him, getting angry)
Abhay: "I have all the right to know" (yells)
Piya: "I am late to class" (repeats sad)
Abhay: "look in my eyes and tell me you mean what you say" (holds her head in his hand)
Piya: "You know exactly how I feel..."
Abhay: "Tell me...I need to hear it from you"
Piya: "Leave me alone please...what are you doing?" (cries)
Abhay: "I am just keeping a promise that I once made to you"
Piya: "you don't understand, do you?" (looks him in the eye)
(they become serious)
Abhay: "I understand perfectly! I am trying to save our future from being ruined"
Piya: "we don't have a future together"
Abhay: "not if I can help it"
(Piya then notices Sid walking towards them from far away. She frees herself finally as Sid comes next to them.)
Piya: "Sid? what are you doing here?" (acting like nothing is wrong)
Sid: "I came to see you...hold on a second...aren't you the guy from yesterday?"
Abhay: "that is me, and you are?" (acts cool)
Sid: "she didn't tell you? I am her fiancee...but how do you know each other? Piya, who is he?"
Abhay: (looking at Piya) "Yeah, Piya, tell him who I am"
(Piya looks at Abhay sad and looks down)
Piya: "He is Abhay...my friend" (Abhay looks at Piya shocked, hiding her tears)
Sid: "nice to meet you"
(Abhay turns around and leaves. Sid stands there, surprised.)
Sid: "what was that all about?" (calm)
(Piya looks down sad. She changes the subject fast)
Piya: "so you came to see me?"
Sid: "yeah...where's everybody?"
Piya: "they are in class, the bell just rang"
Sid: "oh I see, so why aren't you in class?"
Piya: "I was on my way...when Abhay asked me something"
Sid: "I see...well don't mind me, go to class, I will wait for you here"
Piya: "I don't have to go to class, don't worry"
Sid: "no, go on, I will drink coffee, and wait for your class to finish"
Piya: "are you sure?"
Sid: "sure...go on"
Piya: "thanks...bye"
Sid: "bye" (Piya goes to her class. Sid sits down, thinking.)
(At the same time, Panchi is walking by him and sees him)
Panchi: (to herself) "wow...who is that hotty?" (she comes close to him)
Panchi: "Hi...you are"
Sid: "oh hi...I'm Siddharth"
Panchi: "I am Panchi...you are new here?"
Sid: "Oh no, I just came to see someone"
Panchi: "I see!"
Sid: "can I ask you a question?"
Panchi: "be my guest"
Sid: "do you know a guy with the name of Abhay?"
Panchi: "Abhay? of course! he is my boyfriend"
Sid: "oh! so it was you he was talking about"
Panchi: "who else?" (laughs)
Sid: "It was nice meeting you, but I have to go"
Panchi: "ok, see you around" (Panchi leaves.)
Sid: (to himself) "I see what he meant! what a character" (and goes to buy a coffee).
------
(outside piya's house, it is dark outside...and it's raining hard. Piya is in her room, on her bed. She is thinking of the times she spent with Abhay and crying. Mrs. Dobriyal comes in her room and Piya wipes her tears).
Mrs. Dobriyal: "honey, you got to be strong!" (sad)
Piya: "I am trying mom, but Abhay was right! I will never be able to forget him...I can't survive without him"
Mrs. Dobriyal: "I am sorry, I wish I could take away your pain" (hugs her)
(At the same exact time, Abhay drives fast infront of her house. He stops the car fast, and comes out of the car...getting wet.)
Abhay: "Piya...Piya" (yelling loudly)
(Piya hears his voice and gets up scared)
Piya: "mom! it's him! he is here" (cries)
Mrs. Dobriyal: "Oh God...if your father hears him..."
Piya: "no! don't say that"
(Mr. Dobriyal hears his voice from his room. He gets up angry and goes towards the door. He opens the door and sees Abhay standing there, all wet)
Mr. Dobriyal: "what's wrong with you? don't you have any shame?" (yells at him)
Abhay: (cries) "sir, I love your daughter..."
Mr. Dobriyal: "I told you to leave her alone! she is getting married! Let her be happy, let her follow her dreams"
Abhay: (looks at him angry) "No sir...you let her be happy! Let her follow her dreams for once. You think this is what she wants? She has ruined her happiness to make you happy! she has sacrificed my love so that she can be a good daughter!" (explains, crying)
(Mr. Dobriyal looks at him, surprised)
Mr. Dobriyal: "Get out of here! I don't want to see your face here ever again, you hear me?"
Abhay: "I will leave, but not before I see her"
Mr. Dobriyal: "What? I will call the cops"
Abhay: "you think the cops will stop me from seeing her? I will come back! I need to see her" (he gets on his knees and cries)
Mr. Dobriyal: "Ok! I will let you see her! but this better be the last time" (mad and goes inside)
(Piya watches the whole thing from her room. Mr. Dobriyal comes and opens her door. Piya looks at him scared.)
Mr. Dobriyal: "Go, see him, but make sure you make him know this is the last time"
(Piya looks at her mom and runs out...She opens the house door and sees Abhay under the rain, waiting for her. They look at each other and Piya starts crying. Abhay comes close to her and hugs her...they are both under the rain.)
Abhay: "I love you"
Piya: ".I love you too"
Abhay: "come with me...let's get out of here"
Piya: (pulling herself back) "what? that's not possible"
Abhay: "don't think twice, please, just listen to your heart, and come with me"(he gives his hand so that she can hold it and go with him. Piya turns around.)
Piya: "Go home Abhay. you will get sick"
Abhay: "Sick? you think the rain will compare to the wounds in my heart?"
Piya: "I am sorry! I really am...please go home..."
Abhay: "please..."
Piya: "you know we can never be"
(They hug hard and start crying...Mr. and Mrs. Dobriyal see them from the window and feel bad. After a while, Piya lets go of him and runs inside. She closes the door and starts crying hard. Abhay looks at the window and sees them watching. He cries sad and sits in the car and drives fast.)
