Alina came down looking super svelte in her drop him dead high waist cream trousers and a matching off the shoulder top for her date with Abhay Raichand. The name suited him. He was fearless to risk an altercation with her bothers who'd hated him with a passion and an ex-girlfriend who seemed to loathe his very name. Alina made sure her make up was a simplistic as possible. She had a feeling Abhay wasn't into girls who were high maintenance. Suited her just fine. Alina descended down the stairs humming away to see her family had thrown a welcome party for her. How on earth did they manage to pull this off in a matter of a few hours? Alina knew they were up to something. Her brother Jeh and Neel were,'t suble in their approach when it came to her and they hated her just like she hated them. No hate wasn't the word more like resented them for being their mothers favourite while she was an outcast in her own home.
Alina saw the look of disapproval from everyone downstairs. She grabbed her Dolce Gabana bag and was about to head out when Jeh stopped her in her tracks holding her hand-What? (Tilts her head towards him) I am running late. I have to be somewhere.
Jeh knew exactly where she was going by the sound of her voice humming away like she'd won the lottery. He clears his throat and lets go of her hand demanding compliance in his voice-U are not going out today Alina. We have guests coming to meet U. To see the only daughter of the Khurana household. U are not going to see him.
Alina's eyes filled with defiance laughed-Whose going to stop me? U? your brother? Or your Mother? I'll see Abhay when i want him and this is it. U don't rule my world Jeh. U can't dictate to me. U guys don't even like me. None of U do. So why should i listen to U?
Pia chipped in a few helpful words-Because he is your brother Alina. He wants whats best for U. Abhay is not a nice guy. He is rude, arrogant, spiteful, temperemental, hot headed, a complete loser. Abhay is hated by everyone in this town. He cares for nobody. Abhay isn't worth all this adulation Alina. He will ruin your life. No brother would want his sister to end up with a dead beat guy. This party is for U. Everyone wants to meet U.
Alina smirked at Pia looking into her eyes- The person you've just described sounds more like Jeh than Abhay! So what if Abhay's a bad guy huh? So what if i am drawn to him? I am only following what goes on in my household. My brothers a jerk so i fall for a jerk. Big deal. Besides why should i listen to U. You're biased because of your history with Abhay. An ex usually always badmouths their ex and from what i see it appears U are a little bitter if not twisted by the break up. Oh and another thing Pia. Abhay isn't all that bad. He did after all rescue me from being stranded. So U keep out of my personal affairs Pia. This is none of your business. (Waves at her brother) Bye.
Jeh shouts after Alina-U better get back here! Pia doesn't even remember her time with Abhay so apologize to her now!
Alina glares at her brother and at Pia-Oh plaes amnesia or no amnesia makes no difference to me bro. The girl is still hooked on her ex. Too bad you're too blinded by your own love to see what i can see. (Gives a sarcastic smile) It was nice meeting U Abhay's Pia. I'd love to call U Jeh's but your eyes are a dead give away and so's your face.
Abhay was already at the local swanky Italian eatery called Vines where the cuisine was to die for shame he could never eat here. Good job Alina knew he was a vampire. He didn't need an excuse not to eat. For some reason Abhay was intrigued by Alina who had this majestic side to her character. It was almost like he could relate with her. Like they were both tortured soles yet he couldn't read her mind. Alina had him stumped which nobody ever could do bar Jeh who was a werewolf. Was Alina a She-Wolf? He had to spend more time with her and then maybe use her to break Pia and Jeh.
Abhay found himself thinking more about Pia than he dared to because he was always unhinged by the mere memory of her sweets smile only reserved for him. Abhay often caught the neswest version of Pia was a lot more harder to deal with than the old Pia. Both were so different to the other. His Pia was soft spoken, followed him around finding out his skeletons in the closet against his knowledge, naive almost to the point she'd take anyone's words and was the sacrificial lamb and emotionally charged overwhelming his own mental state flooding him with her essence. While the new and improved Pia was the complete opposite of the old Pia and he loved the fire cracker in her. Pia Dobrial was confident in her own skin, fearless and up for anything unfortunately this Pia was now beginning to be merging completely with the old Pia bringing out a dangerous combination for him to handle. Pia was best off where she was right now with Jeh. It kept her busy from snooping into his life.
Alina walked in face brimming with sunshine. Again he felt restless around her unable to get a read on her-Hey Abhay! U were miles away then. Let me guess U were thinking about someone from your past! Two persona's but one person (Was enjoying Abhay's stunned look which was usually so perfect) U are still trying to decipher who i am or what i am? Why am i here? Answer to your first question is there is no answer you'll have to find out with me. The latter i can answer. I like U Abhay alot and i don't care who knows. Ok so i am trying to push my families back up against the wall. Its doing wonders on Jeh. I didn't stop to see my mothers face.
Abhay saw fire in Alina's eyes when talking about her Mother-U don't like her much?
Alina's face grew dark feeling a pang of anger towards the woman sitting down opposite Abhay-U could say we loathe each other. I am stuck with her and she with me. Anyway i erm i have met your ex. Pia! (Waited for a reaction placing her bag on the table) She's very anti-U isn't she? What did U do to the poor thing? She is so messed up in there (Points to her head) I've never heard so much venom in one girl before and this can only happen if one has been in love with someone with their very being Abhay. U did something to her. I have read up on your powers. What U are capable of. I haven't sensed any medical issues with her. (Abhay's eyes met Alina's. Alina could see the golden flecks in his eyes) I am hinting at U Abhay read them. Pia was warning me against U before i stormed out and i in return may have answered her a little curtly. Pia thinks she has U figured out but she hasn't scratched the surface to any of your layers yet. According to my brother U are dating her sister. That is sick man! I know its all fake because i can read your eyes even if i can't read U Abhay.
Abhay choked at a laugh. This girl was getting too close to dismantling his efforts-U don't know what U are talking about Alina. (Waitor arrives with a glass of the hose wine and a starter of Garlic bread with spinach/watercress soup)-Alina what are we doing?
Alina dazzled her brilliant whites-So U aren't allergic to garlic then? (Scrunches her nose) Smile a little Abhay otherwise you'll get premature wrinkling. (Abhay frowns some more) Bad joke i know. So far U are my only friend in this godforsaken town. My own family are my own worst enemy. I have made sure Pia hates my guts and now i am alienating U. Its my defensive mechanism to keep people away from reading me. Its a childhood habit. Scarred children are prone to self destructing thanks to control freaks as a family. There now U know a little about my own happy life. Now spill on your side Abhay. I can't ready U but i have read Pia's scattered mind to know U both have shared a love nobody can ever compete with so i won't even bother trying.U still love her and she U. Both so perfect for each other yet U both fight each other. There was another woman right? Maithali. (Abhay's eyes are pitch black now while Alina finishes her soup) Yes she knows of her Abhay and boy are U screwed.
Abhay let out a laugh-So U are not a SheWolf?
Alina almost choked-Hell no! My brothers are. So Abhay this is my proposition. U rub my back i rub yours! I want to overthrow my deranged treacherous mother and brothers out of my home. I need your help. I knew i liked U for a reason. In return i will do whatever U ask.
Abhay mused over this idea-Why should i help U? How can i trust U?
Alina scoffed-Trust isn't given Abhay its earnt. We don't know each other well enough for this. Just act on your gut instincts. Use your premonitions to help U or we can do a blood oath bounding us forever but i'd rather not considering our irrational emotional condition. I am damaged and U are damaged both not a good combo.
Abhay shook hands with Alina-Done! I want U to be my new girlfriend. With your attitude i can keep Pia away and rub U in Jeh's face. Two targets with one arrow.
Alina let out a melodious luagh-U are evil and i like your plan. I might actually end up in love with U.
Abhay made a face-U are joking right?
Alina wasn't really joking she liked Abhay a little too much probably due to her own similar outlook on life which was bleak and Abhay was adorable and could see why Pia was unable move on from him despite having her memory wiped out by him.This pasta is gorgoeus its a shame U can't eat the parmesean is out of this world
Alina got up ready to leave asking Abhay to give her a lift-Theres a party at my place we can start now. Nobody will think for a second we are faking this and i am a damned good actress. I've had a lot of experience.
Abhay drove Alina to her place and saw the place crowded with people. Guests of the Khurana's. The Dobrial's were there. Pia was sat alone by the fireplace looking a little distraught by something. Abhay's heart lurched for her but he remained still holding Alina.
Pia turned her face to meet Abhay's intense eyes feeling her tears flowing. Pia could stand Abhay dating Panchi to a certain extent even though she wanted to rip her head off and with Misha but Alina was just what Pia was afraid of. Abhay's hold on her slim frame sliced her heart open. No amount of slating Abhay with her vicious tongue would make Alina step aside. Pia had resorted to almost everything to get Abhay to spill and reveal his undying love for her despite being with Jeh she was still hooked on Abhay. Pia tried to look elsewhere but couldn't move her eyes away from Abhay's.
