today the way Aphay behaved regrading Piy'as look alike was really confusing!!😕..i mean it didn't make any sense! ..it was lame if you ask me!..seriously these writers should read something about human psychology before writing about a character!

the hatred and the hostility..he showed toward Piya indicated one thing!...and that is he loved and then hated her look alike once upon a time!..like she did something very bad that hurt him deeply!..but today what he showed was that he loved her to the core!😕..he even kept a photo of her in his book!😕

so if he had loved her, then why does he hates to see Piya?!! ..why he hates the face that looks exactly the same like his previous love!..😕

we all know that when you love someone you will like those who look like him/her especially if you lost them!..you don't hate them or want to abuse them!😕..

on the contrary when you see someone resembles someone that you dislike or hate...automatically you will detest them..because subconsciously they remind you of that person that you hate..even when they didn't do any thing to you!..

okay, i don't know what the writers are thinking but human psychology works like a double wedged weapon. I will try to sound as simple as possible.

Abhay loved Maithli. He lost her. He has frozen his heart but he still holds a candle for Maithli. One fine day , a doppelganger of Maithli walks into his life- Piya. While at one side , she symbolizes all that Abhay has loved and lost tragically - she is also a mirror image of the woman he was in love with. So, it is a push-pull kind of a relationship. Abhay hates Piya because she reminds him of what is no longer with him and he feels a pull towards her because of her likeness to Maithli and it is beyond his control. Abhay has always said - " Piya is not Maithli. Piya can never be anything like Maithli". While there is a struggle between his psyche and his heart , Abhay loves Maithli only but he is unable to make sense of the surge that Piya causes in him. Thus, his irrational behaviour.

Sometime, the things you hate the most are the ones that remind you of what you have loved and lost the most. Piya is an open wound to Abhay and she doesn't even know it.

Well, yes, when we love someone we wouldn't hurt someone who reminds us of them. But then, maybe he is hating the fact that with Piya around, all his feelings are coming back or maybe it makes him realize that Maithli is not around, and to me it seems, he wants to be detached from feeling anything at all.

Maybe Maithli did hurt him, but it seems that he still does love her. It is possible that he wants to stay away from Piya because he doesn't want to get hurt again. But at the end of the day, Piya is the mirror image of Maithli (a girl he still loves, I guess), so it is quite impossible to ignore her. I would say Piya is having an impact on him and he hates that and he hates her for this. She is bringing out something in him which he probably doesn't want.

So I would say, he wants to hate her but he isn't able to do that - he knows she is not Maithli and can never be.

Not sure if I made any sense (Abhay is a very complicated character, difficult to understand), but yeah thats what I feel and thats the way I see it.

i can understand where you coming from!..you mean she reminds him of her yet he knows its not her and he cant get her!..and i agree there is a commotion between his heart and mind!..but that still doesn't explain why he said he hates her!..and why he tried to hurt her!..although the rescuing part i can justify, as he is not a bad vampire although in my mind i had him already fallen in love with her 😆

seriously these writers need to understand about about human mind!..maybe i was more keen on him hating her lookalike!😳..cause i wanted him to fall for Piya for the good person she is..and not just her face!..that would be very shallow love story if you ask me! i mean him falling for her because of her face!..

I think we have a big big problem right now and that is Abhay is not over Maithli. He loves her and the worst will be if he is still waiting for her.

thanks😊..i hope she did hurt him..that would be more logical!..i mean it would at least explain his behavior!..

@ red..but he said she is bringing out the animal/monster in him!..and that is the extreme of hate ! so again how could he hate a face that reminds him of his love so much!

agree he doesnt want to get hurt and from what he said to her he doesn't want to hurt her too..yepe he is one very complicated and confusing vampy!😳

oh you mean like Damon didnt get over Kathrine!..or maybe he can summon her and bring her back!😆..i hope not !..i so want him to fall fro Piya without his past hunting him!..thats why i prefered him hating his past!

i think i would be repeating the above but i aslo beleive that the reason he behaves so badly with Pia is that cuz it reminds him of the past, Maithli the person he is trying to forget and perhaps move on.

but whenever he sees Pia she reminds him of Maithli n the buried past comes back bringing with hurt n pain of losing her and the fact that she can never be back. also maybe cuz he beleives that the face belongs to Maithli n she pia cant look like her...

and about bringing the monster in him....well i think its rather other way that is she brings out the Man inside him...the man who feels...n she is making him feel all those emotions again that he supposdly isnt allowed to feel!! like Poco said repulsion-attraction...so he hates her all the more cuz he cant resist her but he knows he cant have her either!

i hope i made sense in all this rambling 😕

Umm..not sure..it has to be something that touched abhay the most..Maithali is the gal whom he loved and may be lost..but again whenever he sees Piya that reminds him of Maithali..and the moments they spent together.. There could be this reason as well that Piya and Maithali have lot of things in comon..prolly it's not just the face that is common. her nature, her talking, her way of seeing the life all these things are comon too..and that is what making Abhay again attracted towards her and as Pocahontas mentioned the feel of lost is making him angry..but becoz she has so many things like Maithali there is an attraction 😊 so even though he says he hates her, he can't resist or ignore Piya's presence and it does affect him.😊

This line may have meant that the emotions which he had buried all this time are resurrecting ever since he met Piya. So, it maybe the other way round - Piya might be bringing out the man in him - who feels love, who gets hurt and who has been wounded by his love. Piya is breaking the walls which he had built when Maithli left him - he hates it because he wants to be detached from any kind of feelings. I wouldn't say, Abhay hates Piya, I would rather say, he wants to hate Piya but is not able to. I guess, he tries to show hatred towards her so that they both don't come close to each other. Piya being around probably reminds him of the fact that Maithli isn't. Or maybe he hates the fact that Piya isn't Maithli.

I think, Abhay may be really strong physically but he isn't strong enough emotionally, and this is what is worrying his mother time and again. His emotions are over powering him because like Poco said, Piya reminds him of everything he had and everything he lost. Piya affects him like no one does and he hates that.

Anyway, a good topic of discussion. And I guess, there is a lot more to Abhay, and it will take time to really understand him completely. Though I do like this unpredictability in him - makes him interesting to watch. And hopefully, the writers will do justice and handle the characters well.
