This was just like Shruti( Narayani Shastri) in Kohi Apna Sa where she was framed for her husband's death and returns as Mallika Singhania (Smita Bansal)!!!!!
To help her is her supposed mom Sandhya Dey (Anju Mahendra) who later is found to be their real mother!!!!
The suspicion falls on Shashank the most but he is found to be innocent!!!!!
In the end it turns out Prashant killed Sanjana's husband for some properties left for the 4 siblings of which only Sanjana's had prospered!!!!
Of the four only Tich was shown to have a girl Isha!!!!!
Also one of the brother({Puneet Vashist)'s wife was part of the conspiracy though not totally (Amita Chandekar) was killed by Prashant when she tried to confront him after Damini's entry!!!!!
