Bapodra was one character that always showed everyone the mirror, and it was neccessary to have that balance to show that not everyone idealises the protagonist or her atpate decisions and actions. Initially I was glad they had not made him completely negative, and he did have a soft spot for the kids who grew up in front of him.

The original plot was indeed worth commending with education being the road to Pushpa and many other ladies being empowered to become a lifelong learner. Truly wish they had stuck with it.
