I just felt the leap was understandable route because, let's not deny it, for the past few months excluding from the time when KR started to mellow down alongside GB, the track was just running around in circles & we made more threads criticizing the plot, characterization, execution, etc (thus my reason for loss of interest from May/June onwards) whether it was direct criticism or through sarcastic posts.

Yup they barely had anything to build their story on so created something stupid but recently they got a good track and they kinda didn't execute properly, i.e. if they show the family not getting justice.. waiting for today's episode to see what happens. 🤔

I understand & agree but honestly speaking, there is very much less Information on their childhood, especially KR's childhood so I understand the leap route because more information is available in terms of what occurred in their adulthood life.

Also, no doubt the child actors are great & all but the way the track was running in circles & getting over-exaggerated for the past few months before KR was redeemed for the last couple of weeks before this promo got shot, the leap route was understandable. It is sad for the leap to occur too early but it's just the way the things builded up, whether making tracks the cliched ITV way or discrepancy with the factual information thus I feel post leap route is understandable.
