I guess he understood that will lead to nowhere beside they were more important issues to solve after the independance, like education, health, jobs and so on.

Yes there is still a long way until apartheid negative impacts and consequences disapear..I had a small glimpse of the difficulties that it has created when I travel to SA and all the countries around.

true, and he encouraged unity with that act. The sad thing about my part of the world is that aparatheid did not only have racial divide but tribal as well.
