I think I am one of the few fans of Gurmeet Choudhary from india-forums who has known him since he began his career in Hindi television with Ramayan. What can I say about that show? Any praise will fall short, because it was one of the most iconic and classical depictions of Ramayan shown on national Indian television. One of the important reasons why Gurmeet has become so popular in the role of Ram is because he looks like Ram. Granted, no one knows how Lord Ram really looked, but saints and poets have attempted to describe the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Gurmeet had the soft, gentle persona perfect to play Shri Ram's character. Prem Sagar of Sagar Arts has been quoted to say, "When Gurmeet stepped into Sagar Film City to audition for the show, I immediately knew I had found my Ram." After Gurmeet auditioned, the Sagars were no longer interested in seeing any other people, because they knew no one else could be more perfect for their Ram than Gurmeet Choudhary.
I have been a fan of Gurmeet Choudhary since years and have followed his entire career since Ramayan. Besides Lord Ram, I really enjoyed seeing him in Punar Vivah as Yash Sindhiya. Gurmeet is a storehouse of talent and deserves all the success and popularity he has gotten in this industry. I shared my love for you with all my loved ones. Geet Hui Sabse Parayi is and will always be close to my heart. You and my favourite serial happened at a very not so pleasant time in my life. I cannot express how dear Geet was to me, unknowingly and knowingly I can relate to her woes. You comforted me. You made me apart of your serial. I lived with your serial. I felt each emotion, happiness and sadness until the end. I have never been this invested in a serial like this. I will always be grateful for this serial, it was the best thing that happened to television! Geet Hui Sabse Parayi was a deep, pure and sacred love story. Does love like this exist? Can it be possible?
