JUST WANTED TO WRITE A LITTLE STORY ABOUT ANSH AFTER GAYATRI'S SCOLDING. PLEASE EXCUSE ANY GRAMMER OR SPELLLING MISTAKES.
Ansh and Payal & Palak got out of the car as soon as it came to a stop, still talking excitedly about their day at school. They started running to get inside the house. They all reached the main hall and all of a sudden came to a stop and bumped into each other on seeing their Dadi in the main hall with Aakash Chachu and Ishita Chachi. Palak and payal were afraid to make a move.
Ansh was frozen on the spot. He has not gotten over Dadi pulling his ear and scolding him the other day. Dadi was so angry he was really scared. It was his fault; he should not joke about people and laugh at them. Mummy and Papa taught this to all three of them. He just forgot.
All of sudden he remembered the day Dadi locked him up in the store room. It was so dark and scary inside. He kept begging her to let him out but she did not listen. He cried so hard but nobody came and mamma was out of the house. He does not want to be locked up again in that store room. And after Dadi scolded him the other day for his comment about Aakash Chachu (which he did not know was wrong to say) and pulled his ear so hard it is still hurting and she almost was about to hit him. He is very frightened that his punishment may not be over yet and any moment Dadi will come get him and lock him up in the store room. He tried to stay away from Dadi as much as possible but it is very difficult because he loves her so much even though Dadi may not love him anymore.
Gayatri looked up and saw the kids all standing like statues and was puzzled. She got up and started towards them calling out to them. As she got close to them she realized they were scared about something.
She approached Palak asking her why she looks so scared, did someone say something to scare them. Aakash and Ishita were also puzzled.
By this time Palak recovered a bit and started screaming Mamma, Papa and ran towards Aarti and Yash who were just coming into the hall and latched on to Aarti's legs. And Payal joined her sister.
Gayatri looked at Ansh still puzzled as to what is going on with the kids.
She saw that Ansh was frozen in his place and he looked so frightened. She placed her hand on his head and all of a sudden he wet his pants and started shaking and crying. Aarti and Yash rushed over to Ansh and Yash picked him up wet pants and all and was trying to soothe him and find out what is wrong.
Ansh by this time was uncontrollably sobbing and in between saying something Yash could hardly hear. Yash wiped his tears and gently made him sit on his lap and reassured him he is safe and please tell them what is wrong. Finally Ansh quieted down and hid his face in his papa's chest and mumbled saying "please Papa tell Dadi I will never misbehave again, but please don't lock me up in the store room again it is too scary in there". Yash's heart went out for his little son who bottled up this fear in him for such a long time.
Ansh does not understand that his Dadi was acting out her anger at someone else at him. He was just the trigger the she needed to vent out. Both Aarti and yash tried to explain to him that dadi is not mad at him anymore. Poor kid he must have been so worried about this for the past few days.
Gayatri stood there rooted to the spot shocked listening to Ansh. Everything she said to Ansh, pulling his ear and almost slapping him all came back to her in a rush. She was ashamed and disappointed in herself that she hurt her little grandson. She did not know how to make things right and repair the damage she has done to Ansh. Ansh, Payal & Palak are her grandkids and no matter what else is going on in SM, that is not going to change. She loves them with all her heart and soul. Seeing them all frightened because of her insensitive act made her feel very sad.
She approached Yash and gestured to him to let her hold Ansh and sat down and took Ansh into her lap and started crying and rocking him at the same time. She kept saying sorry over and over again and finally Ansh looked up at his Dadi and realized she still loves him and everything will be all right and wiped her tears and told her he loves her very much and will never do anything to upset her ever again. Gayatri gathered all her three grandchildren close to her and reassured them Dadi loves them all very, very much and she will never do anything to frighten them ever again.
All of a sudden Ansh and Palak got up and ran into their room leaving all the adults puzzled and came back with the trophy they won in school to show off to their Dadi!!
