I am really surprised at so many PVians calling Akash a good guy. The CVs have successfully implanted this idea in PVians minds by way of spoiler - just as they did with Prashant who everyone claimed was "reformed"!
The truth is Akaash has many emotional and mental health issues that cause him to think that kidnapping and murdering another is OK. He does not believe in virtue and goodness (examples he has never said sorry to Ansh or thank you to AarYa; and wanted to murder Yash in God's house of worship or Dargah) and furthermore believes that money will solve all of his problems and that the lifestyle it buys makes him a success.
However he can only purchase material things with money and his emotional and mental health issues still persist. The Scindhiyas and in particular G3-2Ps are famous for ignoring and/or infantalizing the family member with such issues (remember how they dealt with Yash?).
In other words the problems that Akaash had are still lying in wait to rear their ugly head, and his new found wealth will only cover up the problem for a brief period.
Right now Akaash is exhibiting the lottery winners mentality and splurging - buying everything he can lay his hands on. What Akaash is unaware is that "it's only when you change your thoughts or ideas and act on the positive ones will change occur in your life. "
