In my opinion, Yash is not right. I know he wants to protect his family but honour and reputation are not as important. Aarti has a point there. She also mentioned that Yash could give Aakash money but not identity. I agree with this. On one of the comments Sally posted " there is like no difference between what he's doing now and what aarti did..." Which I agree with. Yash's father did do something wrong so he does not deserve the honour. The other family members are not at fault but the whole Scindia family's name will be tarnished. This is a challenge. As far as Yash lying/hiding is concerned, he has to be fair to his family by letting them know the truth. The other family members may think of Yash's father as a respectable and honest man but if it is not the truth there is no point in thinking that way. Yash wants all the family members to be truthful.( Paridhi, Aarti...) He is now hiding a major secret as well. It is sad to see such an honest and fair person trying to hide something and lie. This is just my way of thinking and there are many other ways of thinking which are also good to read to see the story from a different point of view. This is just my opinion. I would like to hear other thoughts as well.
