The good, the bad, the unpredictable & the dangerously unknown
If you had a hard time watching today's episode, don't feel badly you are not alone. What you are seeing is the last hurrah of the grandiose deception carried out by the dysfunctional Dupeys. A deception started innocuously at a chance meeting of G3-n-Vidhi and the senior Dupeys to discuss the wedding prospects of Aarti-n-Yash in a second class train compartment. This innocuous lie led to a guilt driven-n- conscience burdened Aarti almost walking off the marriage mandap. She chose to remain silent and begin her remarried life under a shroud of deceipt for the sake of her son, Ansh. This seemingly innocuous lie took a life of its own post-marriage and held Aarti captive to Shobha's influence and recently, post-Lalitpur it has overridden her conscience and made her a slave to the Dupeys biddings.
Painful as it was to watch today's episode – I thought I would sort it out into the good, the bad, the unpredictable and the dangerously unknown.
Good
Excellent Motor Reactions: Yash was superman today and caught Aarti at the right moment so that her slip did not result in a fall.
Ankhon ki Baatein (iKon): Yesterday I complained of Aarti's lack of enthusiasm when interacting with Yash – well their eyelock today cleared the deficit!
Gratitude: Yash and the Scindhiyas were exceptional in their display of gratitude to the stranger who assisted Ansh when his Mumma fainted and needed hospitalization.
Honesty: Palak scores a high-five for her honesty and for pulling the rug from under P, Dupeys, Ansh, and Aarti.
Hospitality: Yash and the Scindhiyas – showed the traditional Indian hospitality to one without a place to go at Diwali.
Perplexity: Yash and Bua score high here – though I must confess Bua beats Yash hands down!
Pricking Conscience: Yes Aarti scored high today and if l read her facial expressions in the last scene right – then she is determined to come clean with Yash right away (read at the first opportunity).
Bad
Duplicity: The Dupeys treacherous game continues. P was fuzzy when he greeted Aarti but when introduced to the SM family and his parents he played the game without missing a beat! Mr. Dupey matched his son's skills and prevented the stuttering Aarti from blurting the truth!
Caught in a web of deception: Aarti and Ansh are caught in the Dupeys deadly deception. Both mother and child are placed in an unenviable position – unable to reveal the truth because of a series of systematically fed lies and threats. As mentioned in an earlier post of mine Aarti will be daubed as the master deceiver while P will be perceived to be the victim. Ansh will probably be traumatized by this deception. And oh lest I forget – Yash too is unknowingly sucked into this web by P!
Wacky Stuff: Yash calls P his friend – but is unaware of his name, where he stays, and what he does! Not one member of the Scindhiya parivaar – showed any interest in knowing P's name!
Ingratitude: P response to Yash's Diwali spirit – that was a master sleight of hand!!
Unpredictable
Fessing Up: Will Aarti fess up all to Yash? Your guess is as good as mine!
BMT: Will Aarti continue to keep quiet because of the 2 pending BMT procedures? Will the Dupeys brainwash effect persist in view of P's appearance in SM? If all is out in the open will Yash permit Ansh to continue being a BMT donor?
Blabbering Informer: Will Ansh tell all to his papa? Will Bua goad Ansh into opening up?
Web of Deceipt: "Whirrr" the Dupeys motors are spinning – how far and deep will they continue? What will be the ramification? Who will face the music – the victim (read Aarti) or the perpetrators (read Dupeys)?
Dangerously Unknown
Fathomless Realms: The crafty Dupeys – to what depths will they stoop? What will be the fall out if the truth be known? Whatever will SP decide? Will Yash maintain his sanity when confronted with the deceipt woven around him by Aarti? What tricks will Bua unleash on Aarti and Ansh? Will AarYa come out of this unscathed?
