It all began one fine day with Vaishu (Strawbella) posting the link for the Haunted House competition. At first I kept ignoring all of her pleas in the DC but atlast I just gave in and took a glance at the page. I decided that although I didn't quite understand the game I would make an effort to figure this out and help my teammates. Little did I know what misery I had called upon myself. As I randomly strolled through the active streets of DC a little note popped up in PM. Here's your forum! Oy Bhagwaan! If only I had known. I clicked on the link, happy to finally be of some service to my fellow PVians and landed in the lovely **** forum. The first thing I did was run to their HH Thread to ask for the clues. I begged. And begged. And begged. And PMed a beg, for the danged clues. No reply. My heart sank as I realised that there were atleast 7 other forums begging for clues and no one had replied to us. So I determined to go through every single recent post if it was the last thing I did.
Page after page after page of mindless chat, jokes and teasing. Page after page after page of (some very nice) siggies and photos. Still nothing. The hurricane was raging outside my window, I was wrapped in my sheet with my laptop mindlessly streaming through the posts. Still. NOTHING. Now my windows are rattling, my eyes are all blurry and it's 2.30 a.m. my time. Still. NOTHING. Soon I get a PM from Laku (Frozen007), and she tells me that IPPKND forum has found all of their clues and sent in their puzzle. Now I am utterly frustrated and pissed the freak off because I am still running through the *** forum and NOTHING. Then Fatima (Pickachu) comes online and I tell her that I still don't have the clues, only to hear that the *** had already sent us the clues. My expression😳. All those hours of searching and they already have the clues? 🤬Now I've got the clues in Hindi and my poor non-Hindi brain is struggling to decipher them. I give up and run to the DC and Fatima (Pickachu) for the translation. Realising that asking DC might be illegal, I edited my post and decided to wait for Fatima to send me the translation.
With these abominably useless clues I once again go through as many posts as I can. Accidentally I am scarred for life by one very explicit FF.🤢 And traumatised by another similar one. Now I'm irritated, frustrated, traumatised, going blind, surviving off of no sleep, and I've got 2 FFs to update, an episode of PV to analyse and still NOTHING. By now I am about to open my windows and jump into the damn hurricane. Daylight approaches and guess what? Every other bloody treasure has been found except for the *** clue. I am now trying to resist the urge to rip out my hair as I decide to go through the forum again. I give up and beg Laku to help me. Together we go through post after post after pointless post and still NOTHING. Finally Laku leaves me to head off to work and I'm all alone with the hopeless clues and the wonderful *** forum. On the verge of angry tears and a handful of hair, I tell Fatima (Pikachu) that I and Laku are taking a break, and that my dear friends is where I leave this horrible experience of my entire I-F life.🤢
