Watched the other people's tests before watching Gurmeet-Kratika, just to see what dynamics were there between the other pairs...

Vinay as Prateek and Sonia as Paridhi: Very interesting - I wasn't expecting Vinay to audition for the role of Prateek! I adore Vinay - he was so fabulous in LTL! - but seeing him here, as cute as it was, felt odd...like he was awkwardly sweet but not lighthearted...Contrast with Dishank as Prateek...
Dishank as Prateek and Sonia as Paridhi: Dishank is much more free with his portrayal of Prateek (reminds me of the innocence of his character Varun in Love Ne Milla Di Jodi) and the dialogues he comes up with are lively and makes Prateek seem like a much more spirited, perky person. Sonia's acting changes a little bit to match him, but I feel like at the end of the video, when she's talking to the people behind the camera, she didn't really know what Paridhi is like as a character...
Samragyi and Pankaj (what's his name?! I want to know his name!): Aww, they're cute. Right from the start, Samragyi is tense and visibly worried...This test is interesting because of the scene itself and the way the actors carry it out - I felt like we can very much expect a similar scene to occur in the show itself because the notion of children growing up is probably a large one that will be explored with the Pankaj-Vidhi subplot. (Oh, her name was Lata beforehand!) I was surprised to see Pankaj raising his voice and being more assertive here, and I'm looking forward to seeing this come up in the actual show - Pankaj seems very caring but he knows when to be firm, too. The comfort between the two actors really gives the impression of a husband-wife married for several years...Commendable!
I will get to the Siddharth-Smriti look tests later...TONS to say about that...I ended up watching Gurmeet-Kratika's test 10 times and I'm still fascinated by it!

@Borna: Oh wow! I didn't know you were so well versed when it came to all these Tellywood actors 😆 I didn't know any of them, except obviously for the ones who made it to the show!

And after seeing the other guy who auditioned for Prateek, it makes me love Dishank even more in that role, because once again it's like the character of Prateek has been tailor made for him, he's a complete natural and just ends up putting a smile on your face with his liveliness and cuteness! I felt that the other guy was really awkward and a little stiff in the look test, and the fact that none of those actresses came even close to really channeling Pari probably makes me a little more biased! Leena Jumani has a spark to her that the others lacked and that's actually my favorite thing about Pari! I guess had I seen these look tests before the show actually went on air, my perspective would have been a little different, but now it just blows me away! It also makes me really appreciate all the hard work that actually goes into casting, because one wrong actor can kill the whole dimension of a relationship (as was with Dishank and Sonia, I think).

From what I hear GC, Rakesh Kukreti (actor who plays Pankaj) and Samragyi were one of the first ones to be finalized, and I honestly thinking after looking at Rakest and Samragyi's look test that they really didn't have to look any further, they were both very much in their character, and seemed to just get them from the get go! And I am so glad that her name changed from Lata to Vidhi because for some reason the name Lata just doesn't work for me 😆

And I was totally thinking of you while watching the GC and KS look test, wondering what will be going on in your head while you watched it! An elaboration of thoughts is in order!

@Maham: Hello there! 😃 Was waiting to see if you had anything to say about what I'd written!

LOL, I had no idea who the actresses were so I looked at the video descriptions 😛 but yeah, I knew Dishank and Vinay from their previous shows so it was a pleasant surprise for me! Vinay Rohrra is a fantastic actor but I've seen him in Laagi Tujhse Lagan, where his character was known for being good-natured and fun but very serious at the same time, and a lot of the punch came from the dialogues and the way he naturally spoke in his character's dialect...Prateek seems to be a much more lively character and one that is not as stiff as Vinay's portrayal came off as being...I think Vinay ended up subconsciously giving off a more mature, even-tempered vibe while Dishank was obviously more transparently "young and full of life" in his portrayal. I do wish we'd been able to see some more actresses for Paridhi there, but at least we got to see the difference in auditions for Prateek.
Leena matches Dishank in the way that she is also very perky and chirpy - perhaps too much, haha! She always seems like she's ready to burst with happiness and excitement and has a hard time staying quiet! 😆 I guess after Dishank was finalized, Leena came in?
Aaah, his name is Rakesh! 😃 Aww, I love Rakesh and Samragyi in this show! They're so adorable together! And yeah, I can see why they were finalized so quickly even from their test - perfect matches! 👏 Lata sounds like such a common name in Indian shows, so maybe that's why they changed it to Vidhi...If I knew what "vidhi" meant, maybe that would shed more light on things...
Elaboration of thoughts on Kratika Sengar's excellence is most definitely on the way later...I ADORE this woman so much! ❤️
Gurmeet didn't really have to do much except react to his co-actor...He had his expressions set and in-character 😃 but just looking at the way he reacts to the people standing next to him shows how it makes a tremendous difference in the portrayal of the relationship between Yash and Aarti! *impressed*
