Update - #3
Sometimes life is not what you have imagined and thought it should be. But making it a simple life everyday is the best way to live. Making a honest attempt at everything we do makes life easy.
This was Sarita's policy. And this is what Vikranth loved about her. She made it easy for him to respond to her. Doesn't over complicate her expectations from him. She never asked him for anything and nor did he do any less for her to see any lack in her life.

Days passed by in bliss and slowly Vandana & Kajri moved on in their lives not having much to plot against her. Though sometimes they did try instigating Abhi about Sarita being a step mom.

One day while Vikranth was working from home... Sarita walked in to his room and stood by the door watching him work on his ipad. He looked up and noticed her tensed face. He was wondering what might be troubling her. He asked her to come near him. She obliged. She made sure to close the door.

He was wondering (kind of excited too!) why she was closing the door.

Sarita walked towards him and told him that she was pregnant. Vikranth couldn't hold himself. He was too excited ... he was very very happy to hear the news. He lifted her up and hugged her tight. "Thank you", he wishpered in her ears.

She had tears in her eyes by then. She gently talked to him about her concerns. She said, "mujhe ye bachcha nahi chahiye".
He was shocked. He couldn't understand. He asked her why? "Yeh hamari pyaar ki nishani hai" isse thum kyun apnanna nahi chahthi ho?"

She said in a very simple tone, " mujhe Abhi kaafi hain, mujhe usko dukhi nahin karna hain." Aap dekh rahen hain na woh abhi abhi uski confidence bada rahi hain." Mujhe itni jaldi nahin hain koi bache paida karne ki. Kaash hum thode sawdhan rehthe"

"mujhe aisi koi kaam nahin karna jo wusko sadma pahunche. Woh sochtha hain ki agar mujhe koi bacha ho jaye tho main wusko pyaar nahin karoongi."
Vikranth, lifts her chin up and says, "meri ankhon mein dekho"... and looked at her intensely , 'ithni si bhaat?" "tujhe aisa kyun lagtha hain ki Abhi ko yeh achcha nahin lagega?"

Sarita, soberly replies, " aaj kal woh school mein aur aas paas pados mein yahi baathein jo suntha hain". "Aur uski samjh tho ithni choti hain ki itni badi baath usko samjhne ke liye mushkil hoga."

Vikarath says, "magar aisa ho bhi saktha hai ki woh is baath se khush ho?"
Sarita says," ho saktha hain"."magar hamein ye kaise maaloom hoga?"

Vikranth gently pulls her towards himself and hugs her and asks,"pehle mujhe is kush kabhar sunane ke liye thumhe kyaa dhoon?"
Sarita says, " aap mujhe waada kijiye ki jo bhi hoga is ghar mein Abhi ki kushi se bad kar nahi hogi. Aaap ye waadha kijiye."

Vikranth takes her hand in his hand and keeps it near his heart and says, " jab tak hain jaan, meri jaan, thumahari khushi meri khushi hain!"

and says," thum fikar math karo, main ek plan kartha hoon."

Sarita says, "plan?!?!" Kaisa plan?!?!"

Vikranth smirks and says, "Jab se thum aayi ho mujhe bhi dramebaaz bana diya! kya karen!"

Saritha feels embarrassed and says, "aap bhi na!" and pouts.

Rest will be updated later!

it was lovely..I am liking it very much..probably in future when ViSa do reach that stage, having more kids could be a little worrying..because even in normal marriages when new kids come, old ones sometime become insecure in their own way.. when I was born my than 2 year old brother started behaving a little violent at times because he would feel bad with my mum taking care of me and stuff..but than my mom very nicely had to explain it to him that she bought me for him so he could play with me and that he only has to take care of me..so that changed things and soon he was over the insecurity.. so it is very important to handle these situations properly!

Update #4:
Vikranth was thinking how to convince Abhi about the soon-to-arrive new baby sibling. He was wondering what he could do to make sure that Abhi is not traumatized with new baby at home. He knew it was not going to be easy for Abhi in many ways. Abhi being his only child and just gaining the love of a mom and enjoying being taken care by a tender love of a mother.. Wasn't sure if he is ready share his mother's love. He himself was very excited about the news and was so happy that his family is growing. Especially, Sarita made everything very easy for him. All he wanted to do is reciprocate the gratitude he felt for her and also in a very simple and happy manner.. Just like she does. He could recognize what Sarita was trying to tell about the situation. It did dawn on him about her magnanimity in not wanting her own child for the sake of his child... He loved her all the more! Now his resolve was much stronger... He needed to bring this child to the world... A symbol of his love to her. At the same time do it in such a way that all her efforts towards Abhi doesn't go waste and questioned by Abhi even in his dreams.

They say that the universe does conspire with you when your intentions are pure and are of love and selflessness!

Just then he received a phone call from his orphanage patron. It had been many years since he left the orphanage...but he continued to support the administration with all the needs and staffing. He made sure the kids got the best of education and shelter and proper emotional care.

He picked up the call assuming it as a usual routine update call. On the other end was Mr. Hasmukh. He was a man just like his name. He is 55 years old and took up the administration of the orphanage after his father died. He was always a great moral support for the orphanage kids. He never let them complain. He always showed them how beautiful life is. He taught them the gifts of gratitude. But today his voice was very grim... Very dejected.

Mr. Vikranth couldn't help but asked him what was troubling him. Mr. Hansmukh mentioned about a new baby girl at the orphanage. He told him that the baby girl was very young and and has been down with fever more often. He was concerned about her. He had called him to consult with him if he knew any better doctor who could diagnose the little girl's problem. Vikranth offered to stop by in the afternoon and take her to the specialist. He showed a genuine interest in being there in person. This was the first time he got involved as a person... Previously he just made sure that the orphanage administration was well managed and had good staff.. So that he didn't have to worry abt the kids needs personally.

He was lost in thoughts about Abhi's situation and trying cook up a plan..and simultaneously worried about the new baby girl at the orphanage. Sarita brought him a cup of coffee and noticed him lost in thoughts. She sat down next to him and asked him what was the matter. He said nothing.. She took his hand into hers and asked him what was troubling him. He told her abt the little girl and told her about Mr. hansmukh's concerns. He told her how mr. Hansmukh has never sounded so grieve stricken and this worried him. She comforted vikranth and said she will also come with him to the Ashram and take a look at the girl.

That evening after Abhi came home, Sarita freshened him up and fed him milk and asked him to study and finish his homework while she goes with dad and checks on the little girl in the ashram. Abhiwanted to come with them too.. He insisted on goiing with them.

Sarita agreed to him but told him that she might be busy with dad there and he should not be upset if she is unable to pay attention to him.

He agreed and told her that he will be a good boy.

TO be continued... not sure if you like this approach. I do realize that my story doesn't have much of coochie moochies between Sarita & Vikranth... but wanted to take it this way... let me know if you still want me to continue ... otherwise, I can wind it up!

Thanks for reading...

Please continue, dear! You are touching upon sensitive issues here, which we deal with in our day to day life.I really like the approach that you have taken. And who said that you need to have coochie mochies to make a good story?

Thanks for sharing! Am enjoying reading it! 😃
