Recap: Payal, Pundir and Arjun together decides to reunite Prithvi and Sanyogita. Payal asks them to make sure Prithvi continues staying in the Utsaav place.

Sunrise of the next day brought with it happiness and excitement for everyone participating in the utsaav. That day was dedicated to decorate and clean the temple and the area surrounding it and also to make arrangements for the next day's functions. Atmosphere was pleasant and charged with enthuthiasm. Temple Work was divided into sections like sweeping floor, decorating walls and railings, ceiling decoration, washing floor and staircases and groups of people were assigned for each. Some women and men, Youngsters and children got busy in it. Pandits of the temple were supervising the work, roaming here and there. In one open hall adjacent to the temple pravachan was held for the whole day. All senior citizens and many middle aged men and women were sitted in the hall, listening pravachans and submerged in it.
Maya maa got up early and went for the pravachan. Sanyogita and payal too got up early and went to the temple to work. Payal took along with her the sandesh, which she stole from the tent of those suspicious people. She found it important and did not wish to keep it lying around in the tent. She hanged it to her waist and covered it with her dupatta. Before going to the temple, she polietly asked Prithvi, Pundir and Arjun to help them in their work. Prithvi could not deny her request.
Neither Sanyogita nor Prithvi slept well the previous night. Again Sanyogita saw Prithvi in her dream. But this time Payal was also there, riding on a horse with Prithvi and Sanyogita herself was pulling the horse. She shook her head each time she thought of it. Here Prithvi was also occupied with so many things; his almost completed mission, unexpected one-to-one conversation with Sanyogita, his enemy, this utsaav, someone spying him. But he was used to this. It seemed ages since he had a peaceful night.
Prithvi went out early in the morning to take a round of the place and find anyone suspicious. But did not find anyone. He came back and along with Pundir and Arjun went to the temple. They and few other men got the work of decorating the ceilings of the temple. Sanyogita took Payal with her to decorate the temple wall with garland of flowers, away from Prithvi and his friends. There was chaos, laughter and teasing all around. Women's chattering echoed everywhere. Children were playfully cahsing each other. When their parents or pandits bowled at them, they kept quite for sometime and again continued.
"Bolo maa Santoshi ki........Jai......." from time to time these voices spread everywhere from the hall where pravachan was going on. After each chapter
pandit said: "Bolo maa Santoshi ki........"
Devotees replied back: "Jai......"
By what Payal said yesterday, Sanyogita now wished Prithvi should leave this place as soon as possible. As far as she knew, Payal was the girl who has achieved everything she wished. Her break up with Prithvi and Payal's sudden interest in him made Sanyogita restless. Still she was unable to figure out, what's wrong with her since yesterday?
"Samaj mein nahi aa raha, yeh yaha kar raha hai? Isse toh ab tak chale jana chahiye." Sanyogita whispered picking up a big garland from the flower basket.
Payal (releasing the knots in the garland): "Kisse?"
Sanyo: "aaah..... uss.... woh Lakshman"
Payal (looking in Lakshman's direction): "Woh nahi jayega, usse yaha kuch kaam hai."
Sanyo: "Tumhe kaise pata?"
Payal: "Usne bataya hume."
Sanyo: "Woh tumhe kuch kyu batane laga?"
Payal: "Hamari achhi dosti jo ho gayi hai."
Sanyo: "Dosti???...... kal hi toh mili ho tum usse."
She remembered during yatra, She and Prithvi always quibbled with each other in the beginning and became good friends in the last days, after they had a narrow escaped from the jungle. It was that time, much later than their first meeting, when Prithvi told her about his mission. And here in one meeting he became her friend and told her about his work.
Sanyo: "Itni jaldi? Yeh kaise ho sakta hai?"
Payal: "Kyun nahi ho sakta? Kya tum hume janti nahi? Hamara jadu hamesha kaam karta hai." She winked at her.
Sanyogita forgot her work. She was about to climb the ladder but stood still looking at payal. Payal continued with her work.
"Bolo maa Santoshi ki........Jai......."
Sanyo: "Jadu..... Kya kiya tumne?"
Payal: "Woh hum tumhe batana jaruri nahi samajte."
Sanyo: "Kya?Kyun?"
"Meauwwwww, Meauwwwwwwww," Payal's informers gave her a call. Hearing that, Payal quickly went near the railing and looked down. Those informer kids were standing out there. She asked them to come near the staircase by making hand movements.
Payal: "Ab tum kaam pe dhyaan dogi Sanyogita? Dekho hamara kitna kaam baki hai. Hum abhi aate hai." Saying this Payal went to edge of staircase.
Sanyogita felt annoyed with Payal. She took the flower basket in one hand and the garland in other and climbed the ladder to fix the garland on the wall.
Sanyogita turned and watched Prithvi "Yeh Prithvi ..... badi jaldi dost banane laga hai." in her mind.
"Kya Khabar laye ho?" asked Payal.
First kid: "Didi kal raat ko pul tutane ke karan kuch yatri yaha aaye hai, unmese do log kal raat ko hi kahi chale gaye."
Payal: "Arey wapas apne raste chale gaye honge. tum log bhi naa....."
Second: "Aap puri baat kabhi sunti hi nahi ho, unka samaan yahi pada hai aur woh bhi bikhra hua."
Payal: "Achha." keeping one hand on her waist and other on her chin, she stood thinking.
Till then she heard some noise outside. At some distance from temple she saw some people were fixing bamboos and many men and women were playing dandiya.
Payal: "Waha kya chal raha hai?"
First Kid (turning in that direction): "kal ki dandiya ki tayyari chal rahi hai. Gujrat ke logone aayojit kiya hai, weh sabko shamil karna chahte hai. Bahot log dandiya bhi sikh rahe hai."
Payal (making sad face): "Hume bhi sikhna tha, par.....kahir chodo."
Second kid: "Un dono ka ab kya didi?"
Payal: "Pata nahi, kuch samaj mein nahi aa raha, dekhte hai..... ho sakta hai mahamantri ko kuch pata ho, ek baar yaha se bahar niklu....."
Second kid: "Toh Thik hai hum maha mantri ke yaha se gujar ke aate hai."
Payal (smiling widely in her style): "Bikul..... aur aaise hi khabre late rehna, thik hai. Ab jao yaha se. Jao jao jao."
Those kids ran away. They undertook new task.
Here in the centre of the main hall of temple, Arjun was standing on the ladder to fix things on the ceiling, Pundir busy tieing colourful dupatta's together and Prithvi was handing those to Arjun. Prithvi kept on looking here and there again to find someone suspicious and he saw the same person who was peeping in their tent the last night. He told about him to Pundir.
"Bolo maa Santoshi ki........Jai......."
Prithvi: "Woh hamari aur hi dekh raha hai........Aur kahi aur bhi" He watching his actions carefully and looked in that direction and found Payal there. He got a question mark on his face.
Prithvi: "Kaha gaya?" That man seized the oppartuinty when Prithvi was looking at Payal and disappeared.
Pundir: "Ruko mein dekh ke aata hu." He went.
Arjun: "Lakshman, jara waha se woh chakku toh lana."
He pointed where sanyogita was working. Prithvi went there and stood near the ladder on which she was standing.
And as if Sanyogita is not there he asked: "Koi hai, mujhe ek aur chakku chahiye? Koi hai?" Sanyogita (ignoring him too): "Payal..... jara yeh haar lagane mein hamari madat karna."
She took one step up on the ladder. Prithvi watched her. She glanced down at him lifting her leg to climb one more step and suddenly she lost her balance and "aaaaa aouch" She began to fall. "Sanyogita...." Prithvi quickly moved forward and catched her in his arms.
Flowers from the basket fall on them and it seemed as if flowers are showered on them. Flower petals settled on their hair, face, clothes. They looked at each other. The time stopped and everything around seemed freezed. Sanyogita was as delicate as flower for Prithvi. They again got a chance to be so close. Sanyogita was wiping off the petals from her face by moving her head. Her hands were around his neck. Those petals were causing irritation on her face. Prithvi noticed that and slowly brought his face more close to her. She got goose bumps in her stomach but did not react and kept looking at him. She did not pay attention to the irritation anymore. He softly blowed the petals from her face and found her flickering eye-lashes, her half open lips so beautiful. "Tum sach mein bahot khubsurat ho Sanyogita." said Prithvi in his mind, staring in her eyes. He wished never to put her down. For few seconds they made no movements. Till then Payal came there and giggled looking at their position.
"Tum aaraam karo Sanyogita, hum haar laga lenge." said Payal trying to control her gigling.
Prithvi put Sanyogita down. They looked embarassed and dusted flowers from their clothes and head. Payal took the garland and started climbing the ladder. Prithvi forgot why he was there?.
Bending down, Payal slowly wishpered in her ear "Hai.....Kya pakda hai. Agar hum bhi girenge, tohyeh hume bhi pakad lega, hai na?"
Sanyo (loudly): "Kya?"
Payal: "Ha..hum bhi koshish karte hai." She started climbing the ladder.
Sanyo: "Tum pagal ho gayi ho."
Payal: "Hume bhi tumhare tarah girne ka natak karna hai."
"Bolo maa Santoshi ki........Jai......."
Sanyo: "Humne koi natak nahi kiya Payal." She forgot the embarassment and everything.
Payal: "Par hum karenge, tum hat jao."
Sanyo: "Payal tum aaisa kuch nahi karogi." She held her leg.
Payal: "Hume chadna hai, chodo hamara pao......" She tried to release her leg from Sanyo's grip.
Sanyo: "Nahi bilkul nahi." Now she was holding her both legs. "humne kaha naa.... utro niche" She started pulling her down.
Payal: "Chodo hume... hum gir jayenge...."
Prithvi (confused whats going on): "Sanyogita?? (in low voice) kya kar rahi ho? chodo isse."
Sanyo (ignoring Prithvi and looking up at payal): "Nahi tum utro niche." She shook her even more. Prithvi moved forward and held her hands.
Prithvi: "Sanyogita, yeh kya kar rahi ho tum?"
Sanyo: "Hum isse girne nahi denge."
Prithvi: "Tum aaisa karogi toh woh sach mein gir jayegi. Chodo usse"
Sanyo: "Nahi...Tum nahi jante yeh kya karne wali hai?"
Prithvi: "Kya karne wali hai?"
Sanyo: "Yeh......yeh" She looked at Prithvi and realized what she was about to say, she stopped all her actions and looked down. Her hands were in his hands. Prithvi too looked down and released them. Then quietly Sanyogita went near the wall and continued with her work mummuring "Hume kya, chado aur giro."
Prithvi kept on looking at her, perplexed. Payal jumped down from the ladder in front of him. He shruddered.
Payal (Looking from Prithvi to Sanyo): "Jyada socho mat.... yeh aaisi hi hai... jhagadalu." Prithvi (in his mind): "Ha...Janta hu..... Jungli billi..." He smiled. He found that he loved every mood of hers.
Arjun (still on his ladder): "Lakshman tum chakku bana rahe ho kya?"
Prithvi who completely forgot why he was there, looked around. Payal gave him the knife and he left.
"Bolo maa Santoshi ki........Jai......."
Pundir searched for the spy in the temple premises but he seemed to be no where around. "Lagta hai woh bhag gaya."
Arjun: "Phikar mat karo, Jayega kaha. Humpe nazar rakh raha hai, toh wapas yahi aayega. Bolo maa santoshi ki......" When none of the other two answered he himslef said "Jai..." making face.
Prithvi: "Jaldi yeh kaam niptake uska pata lagate hai."
