No other friends of Prithviraj have been mentioned. A general who has been given importance is General Skanda. It was General Skanda who led Prithviraj to victory against Md Ghuri in the First Battle of Tarain. In the Second Battle of Tarain Skanda was engaged elsewhere which made Prithvi weak and ultimately caused his defeat. Though no such reference is given I think that this Skanda can probably be Sanjam (as the names sound quite familiar), if Skanda is not Sanjam no other friends of his are dealt with.

Prithviraj's elopement with Sanyukta is a fact though. And that is what has made Prithviraj Chauhan so popular, which is what he is even today. Romance makes people more popular than anything else important . Historically Jaichand (Sanyogita's father) was a bigger and more powerful ruler. He was infact the most powerful ruler of that time. Which was why that Ghuri did not even dare to attack his kingdom, and had Jaichand responded to Prithvi's appeal for help Ghuri would not have been able to defeat Prithvi.

Sanyogita's real name is not known. There are many versions – Sanyukta, Sanjukta, Sanyogita, Samyukata. We in India have so many dialects and evry region has its own way of pronouncation

Their dates of birth are also not known. Prithvi and Jaichand fell fighting against Ghuri in 1192 and 1194 respectively. Though Prithvi is known to have ruled fro some more time as Ghuri's vassal but was later executed on charges of conspiracy. This is proved by some coins found which bear the name of Prithviraj and Ghuri as his lord. Jaichand though died on the battle field fighting against Ghuri in the Battle of Chandwar.

this is just one version of history-in another version jaichand ws the conspirator who secretly joined in hands with ghori to defeat prithviraj chauhan
however the fact that prithviraj chauhan and sanjogita r close relatives -is something i cud find nowhere, can anyone plx tell me where can i possible verifuy the fact authentically?[plz don't mention d tagline from the creators

thats for sure, i created this post to find out different controversies that gather round popular figures like prc.history itself follows a tortuous path and in a country like india where history was never seriously preserved tales curl up round in any ways, i amjust trying to see different faces of the crystal
