Ambaji is not normal, instead of having a close relationship with her husband, she has an unnatural attachment with her son. She wants to be number one in her sons life and take the place that should be wife's.

In real world this kind of behaviour will not last for very long both Amba and Anu behaviour will make any women leave and never come near mother and son duo.
