I think bec of these reasons

1. K was looking for adarsh in boiling anger to kill him, he said so to all n everybody knew it ...
2. he was arrested from the scene of the crime with his finger marks on the rod
3. his criminal background although no case has been proved against him
4. The police gave false report of his confession
5. K threatened to kill the police inspector in front of the judge

Plus ofcourse K is the hero , one of the major USPs of our show ... any track on him n P will be TRP puller , we saw it ...

arushi got bail bec , it was not a premeditated murder ... she don't have any criminal record / background ... there were evidences that it was done as an act of self defense ...

plus the CVs needed to show janmashtami celebrations , which is not possible if she is in jail as Kriya won't celebrate in such a situation
