Mine isnt letting me out of his sight at the mo - Ive bribed him with my iphone for now so he's feeding his addiction to Paper Toss, Holes and Balls and other such nonsense!!!😆 Being sick is such fun dont you know - for him anyway!!!!😛

Chapter 7

Morning came far too early, but She awoke feeling different.

Not the usual groggy neanderthal that was par for her but with a strange positivity, a purpose.

She smiled again recalling last night and his sweetness towards her.

However the morning also brought a tinge of sadness a. She knew deep down in her heart that however much her mind and spirit soared when she was around him, She had nevertheless just finished a relationship of several years and it did not make sense to launch headlong straight into another.

She wondered about the boyfriend and, whilst knowing she had done the right thing, hoped that he was OK. She was glad the boyfriend had respected her wishes by taking heed and keeping away from her. With that thought She shook her head and smiled, determined not to let her mood be spoilt by thinking too much about the past.

It was a new day, a new chance to do things differently, She thought brightly, and best of all, was knowing She would be seeing Someone that made her day even better.

She arrived at the set, and having quickly prepared herself for her scene, her eyes furtively searched to catch a glimpse of Him, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Instead She caught sight of the girl He had gone out for coffee with last night, who was pacing just outside the dressing room with her lines in hand.

"Is She waiting for Him too?" She wondered. "Only one way to find out!" Her inner voice was right on cue.

As She walked up to the Girl, she hesitated momentarily, asking herself why she was approaching her anyway. At that moment the Girl looked round

Too late, She though.,

"Hi, how goes it?" She started nicely enough

"OK, look - sorry - I'm a little busy right now..so"

"No no , no worries - I just saw you and thought Id say Hi after yesterday - you sounded so excited and I thought Id just grab you for a quick chat."

Attagirl, said the inner voice

"Oh, yeah.."The Girl faltered

" Its nothing really. The news turned out to be no news at all"

She definitely saw the sadness in the girl's eyes, but then it passed almost as quickly

"so...but yeah everything else is good. The track is really exciting right now for me and I'm glad people are beginning to notice my acting capacity for a change" the girl straightened her head a little.

"I'm really glad for you - you deserve some credit,"and She wholeheartedly meant it.

The girl too looked at her, more interested now

"D'you think so? Oh thank you so much for saying so. I do need some good luck right now and its hard to know who really is your well wisher and who's happy to stab you in your back the minute you turned round, " the Girl said darkly.

"See, he was telling the truth!"the inner voice chided

" Well, I really better get back to my lines - we're up for a scene later in the day so may catch you then."

"No worries, see you then," She responded and with a quick hug, the Girl walked away.

Its definitely not the right time now, She thought sadly.

He was running maddeningly late and just about managed to get into his gear before being called to come on.

"Damn,"He thought annoyed at himself whilst grabbing his lines,

"No chance of seeing Her before I'm on now!"

The scene was with his character's family members and He was actually grateful, as these scenes always came easy to him.

The rapport he had with his fellow actors was good but especially so with the male characters that played his father and brother respectively - they had a genuinely friendly relationship and mutual respect for each other that made interacting on and off set a breeze.

It was a good scene - He loved it when he had to grapple with his brother and exchange all the insults and then the character that played his father would step in to try and sort matters, often unsuccessfully but more often the brother character would end up receiving beats.

The end of the scene approached and it was now his eyes were drawn to the area where She would make her entrance.

Bang on cue. She appeared wearing a blue sari and white cardigan looking every inch her beautiful self. No sign of the weariness or tear streaked face He had witnessed last barely ten hours previously.

He wasn't on camera for the moment so as She walked on He turned to look at her appreciatively, taking in every bit of her as he breathed deeply. Just seeing Her made Him feel good and he couldn't help but smile in her direction

Just then he was nudged by the Father character who covered up for Him by ad libbing somewhat to fill the gap as the shoot was continuing. He too did likewise and easily slipped back into his lines to finish his part. The scene ended on Her delivering the usual lecture and then pulling him away from the scene to retire to the bedroom.

As the director yelled "Cut" Both of them had already reached the door to their characters' bedroom. Quickly he drew his hand around her waist and pulled her into the room.

"Hey! How are you feeling today," as his eyes scanned her face

"I'm fine - really."She replied"Thanks for asking but you needn't worry. Listen about last night-"

"Don't apologise again -", he interrupted " there's no need I-"

"No - its not that. Its just... I didn't want you to tell anyone, if you don't mind, that you came round. It's just that I haven't told anyone else about the break up and I don't think I want to just yet. So the last thing I need is anyone getting wind of you coming round to my flat and then my ex finding out - it will just complicate matters. You understand don't you?" Her eyes pleaded with him and He nodded slightly to show his acquiescence.

"Sure, no problem," Inside his heart rate was dropping rapidly, but He knew She had her reasons and that was enough for Him.

Where do you go from here my man? whispered the inner voice

"Everything will work out fine," He said finally "but care a little less about everyone else and more about yourself."

She smiled a small smile then excused herself.

"I'll catch you this afternoon at the outdoor shoot. See you then," and with that She was gone

"Why do I feel She's evading me," He thought, " or was I mistaken about her even being remotely interested." He was stricken now

" Could I have got it all wrong?"

He promised himself he would find out later that afternoon.

Outdoor shoots presented both challenges and opportunities for some fun. Later She would recall the day and think she had never thought things would have turned out the way they did

The shooting was going well enough and She felt good to be away from the regular set if for no other reason than she could relax a little and speak to him when theyhad a moment to explain her off handedness.

He on the other hand had determined he was not going to let her get away from him that easily and decided to have some fun to lighten the mood.

One of the scenes required them to hold hands and sit together to eat some snacks

She did the scene but not without remembering an argument she had had with her ex about making sure He never held her hand as that was the boyfriend's privilege. At the time She had been mildly amused but he had made such a big deal about it she ended up telling the producers to ensure it was avoided at best and at worst kept to a minimum.

When the moment came, they both held each others hand easily. The subsequent looks meant for the camera happened to convey almost precisely the degree of comfort they felt with each other too, though She was still a little more guarded than him. He on the other hand loved every minute and had purposefully slowly entwined his fingers in hers rather than just hold her hand.

"Now I've got you, I'm not letting go so easy," His eyes told her

She, on the other hand, was worried what the crew may be making of it all and hesitated slightly in meeting his gaze, but when She did, what She saw made her look away as she felt the heat creep up her body.

The scene would end with them both getting on a motorcycle and moving off.

Just as they walked towards it, She in front of him, her heel gave way making her ankle twist and she yelped as she began to fall.

She didnt hit the ground however as strong arms caught and broke her fall easily whilstt sweeping her up

" My ankle! Damn!!," she wailed

"My back! Damn!! and the insurance wont even cover it!!! Yaar you weigh so much more since the Suhag raat, man!!! Tum khaati peeti kya ho?(What the hell do you eat?)"

"Oyyy," she reproached him whilst laughing "enough of that, my ankle is really hurting!

" So what should I do???" He laughed back "Kiss it better," He murmured the last bit so only She would hear and promptly She turned to look into those cavernous eyes

"Dare me and you know I will," they spoke in their silent language but She heard as if He had spoken aloud.

It was in this way, She in his arms, both momentarily lost in each other's eyes, that things took a turn in a way She had never imagined

"Why don't you just kiss it better for her yourself you little scumbag, you know you're just itching to get your hands on her!"

She felt herself go numb hearing that voice and prayed she was mistaken.

When She turned her head round and saw her ex boyfriend right behind them, a day's growth on his face, looking a state and smelling to high heaven of alcohol.

She glanced quickly at Him and noticed his beautiful jaw set with anger as He placed her gently down.

She knew something really bad was about to happen...

You know it!!!

I still think she looks lovely and it was supposed to be a joke! Has She put on weight?😕
