What you're saying could be very possible, but since Meera is shown to be talking to Krishna even in private, even when alone she claims to love him... so most likely she is not looking for revenge, she's just crazy.

As regards the Makhnu singh track, I think that was just temporary as Sajjan Singh had to be shown missing for few days. I don't think Makhnu singh will be back anytime soon.
