I can't believe some of the misogynist comments on here. We're talking about an industry where men in their 40s-60s are seen as heros (e.g. Salman khan SRK and Aamir are in their 40s) romancing girls their daughter's and even grandaughter's age. What about the women? As soon as she hits mid 20s-30 she's out or playing some mother-type roles. I bet she isn't even 40 so I wouldn't rule her out just yet. Even if she was old (she doesn't look it), isn't there room for actresses in their 30s, 40s, and 50s?
I don't mind that people here do not seem to like her as an actress, that's just fine; I couldn't care less. What ticks me are the comments about ripping her apart for her age, what's worse is that it is coming from females. We all age, let's not rip each other because of that. What kind of world do we want for women where they are judged so much on their beauty and youth. Is that what women's role in society has been deduced to; being an ornament piece and her worth measured by how pretty& young she is? I would have thought girls would be empowered to see that females of all ages progessively given more worth in Bollywood. It would be a reflection of the acceptance of society. Anywho, I say good for her!
It's funny how many claim to be all for equality for the sexes but snide comments like that shows otherwise. I would have thought people in this day and age would be more open-minded but I apologize because I expected too much. We don't have to go too far from this forum to notice the backwardness that still strives in this world.
