Hello Friends..
So the much awaited Mahaepisode has finally come and gone, The dusts settling down.. giving us a few pleasurable hours of chewing on the bit discussing the right and wrongs of the action's...in th episodes what I found interesting was the responses of the leading ladies ..both representing different diaspora, and both holding on to their conviction's..
KOmal : She is indeed a virago... A lady who is grounded ..She has been taught that after marriage , Husband is the be all and end all ..Although the be all part becomes shaky now and then, she has always been consistent with the end all part...Not for her the horror and squeamishness of the Saxena's when they come to know that Adarsh has been arrested for bribes...being a Thakur Girl..and being of the ilk that one never disowns their relatives in public..she put up a spirited defense of her husband ..she has seen the power of money and the way money changes hands at the Thakur house so Did not give a damn about the gravity of the crimes but was fully intent on getting her husband out ...Her stout defense of her Husband and her deriding of her FIL was quite in keeping with the way she was brought up ...for she has always been taught that Relation's come above everything else..esp Spouse 's and when someone be it her own FIL or MIL are against her husband...she will naturally take them as ill wishers ...
Pratigya : She is an educated girl who has been brought up on the creed that Principles matter up and above everything, even relationship.. She has always believed it and has followed it with few blips in the middle...That does not mean that she is unconcerned, her concern is shown when she calls up her father ..Her curtness when Komal goes on and on about her FIL may be construed as a staunch defense of her father ...but in way the curt tone can also be explained as the outcome of the anguish arising out of the fact that her brother has been arrested and the fact that that her principles will not allow her to help him ...That was nicely done ...
In the end ..I would say that Both the daughter's kept the flags of their respective houses flying high by remaining true to their beliefs ...Both of them cannot be faulted for they did not veer away from thier views.
It is such types of conflicts that is interesting CV's..Bring such types of conflicts ..instead of showing the unrealistic super smooth highways ..
