In a nutshell Tuesday gave us about the hook, the cook, the crook, the brook and the look, mistook and overlooked. WORD COUNT: 1460
The hook that took and shook ........ Kesar (into compliance)
Kesamma also known as the nefarious nari (NN) continues to wail on center stage before threatening to drink the poison and hooks her daughter Kesar right in. Kesar is all shook up and caves in and agrees to play it by the book. She agrees to share her room with KN. There goes the strong woman who buckled under the pressure of emotional blackmail. She seriously lacks the survival instinct. At that point she failed to weigh her mother's emotional blackmail against the looming threat to her life once again at the hands of an unpredictable KN. Once bitten twice shy has a different twist in her case. She is shy alright but doesn't see her and her baby's survival as imperative. She may not be so lucky the next time. How is her mother going to protect her if KN forces himself on her in the middle of the night? Interestingly enough, Mr. Bayil Buddhi has been sober since his sasuma came into town. SS may yet rue the day he came up with this plan all to protect his potha. How does threatening KN with extreme punishment stop his impulsive behavior? For a man who's heart is set on a potha, trusting Kesamma's word to ensure Kesar and her baby's safety could turn out to be the old man living in a fool's paradise.
Don't overlook the crook
Prats is back in the kitchen cooking when a guilt ridden Kesar walks in realizing Prats has her reservations about her decision to shack up with KN after all that's happened. She apologizes and justifies her decision.to her devrani. Prats reminds her she is not upset with Kesar's decision but more concerned for her. She warns her not to overlook the unpredictable crooks that have shown her their repertoire of criminal behavior towards her time and again. While the jetani tries to ensure that her devrani has not mistook her, in walks the recent addition to the bevy of crooks, drags her like a sack of cooked noodles out of the kitchen after warning Prats to stay away from her daughter. Like that is going to keep Prats quiet if she really wants to say anything. Kesar has literally made her bed and it's time for her to sleep on it with one eye open just in case KN's hatred for her gets a new life and he decides to "spring" a new surprise move on her. Some women never learn, they survive living on the edge to their own detriment. Live and Learn Kesar! But the irony is can she "live" long enough to really learn no one else can protect her from the evil quartet. She has become addicted to her victim complex that getting herself out of it may just be a distant dream.
Can you cook chole bature?
Krishna is at his Adda interviewing a handful of men to be the cook at his new business venture "Baba ka Dhaba". His only criteria seems to be that the cook be able to cook Allahabad's best chole bature. He seems to have finally found his man who claims he makes finger-licking good chole bature. But will the cook even be able to light his stove long enough to serve his first customer.
She cooks and feeds her brook
Naina, the resident brook of MMGJ's outlook on life is one of gloom and doom. Still overcome with grief at the sight of the competing stove in her kitchen she offers Shamu his breakfast/lunchbox but her moping mard who is competing for the most depressing dude gives her a run for her title. She is still cooking in spite of her leaking tear ducts and offers his favorite paratha to moping mard jr. who saunters into the kitchen overcome with regret about the presence of the second stove. In walks his wife chiding him for not waking her up on time to prepare his breakfast. She offers him the "forbidden" fruit of the Garden of Eden (aka Ipple) that has the reputation of keeping doctors away. Moping Mard jr. accepts it. Oh, the sacrifices this man makes to keep the peace in the family. Next time he makes an impulsive decision lets hope he stops long enough to think what comes later'''.his impulsive decision to marry Komal is now causing him a truckload of grief and has sent him down the path of greed overlooking his Papa's sanskaars.
The crook with the playbook
SS proudly reveals he is the crook who wrote the playbook to get Bayil Buddhi and his unsuspecting bride back to the bedroom together. Takurain is shocked at the revelation that her mard has plotted and executed this scheme with her out of the loop while he took his new partner in crime Kesamma into confidence.
The look she won't overlook now
Takurain outlook on SS and Kesamma's covert plans behind her back and their giving each other the "look" has her very suspicious about the new game in play. Now we know where KN inherited his womanizing ways. She is even considering "how did I overlook, thought I knew my mard well". Her houseguest is moving in to usurp you from your throne. She better remember the hand that feeds you may bite you too. She is suspicious of the sambhandji now who is here with her bag of tricks but is she ready for what may come especially if SS is giving her extra attention. Given SS's chaalaki ways we know he can chew and spit anyone, including his own flesh and blood if it means he comes out the winner.
Signals mistook?
The saree buying scene and her theatrics on center stage were enough to get Takurain's antenna signals on full alert and she's highly suspicious of her guest's underlying motives now. Kesamma has been openly flirting with SS all along and the old fool is basking on the attention. Should we sell tickets for the round of cat-fights, mud wrestling, hair-pulling face offs between these two senior Takur women in the coming weeks and months? Wonder how Las Vegas will call the odds on this one?
More than the checkbook
Kesamma undertook the plan but excused herself from accepting SS's offer of "anything her heart desires" as a reward for her fine performance and getting the job done. Oh yes! Her heart desires SS and his whole kitten kaboodle using the potha as leverage. She is not in it for the small fish, she surely wants the big kahuna. She has her heart and mind set on becoming the reigning Queen of the Niwas the moment she set eyes on it. She is the Kaikeye who will ask SS for her boon of all that he owns at a later time that could land him and his family on the streets. Kesamma the greedy and shameless leech tells SS she will reserve her choice for another day all in the presence of Takurain and KN. Why were they present as witnesses? Will the Takur keep his word to salvage his Takur pride? Wonder who is going to pay the price for it? SDS alone or SDS and SS? KN will be the beneficiary of his sasuma's chaalaki moves.
On the hook of the crook
Takur makes her an offer to ask for anything she wants as he openly flirts with Kesamma right before Takurain's eyes as he lounges on bed in his bedchamber. Since when does any woman enter the bedroom of the daughter's sasur as if she belongs there and flirts with him openly in the presence of his wife? The old fool doesn't realize he's going to be fleeced by the piranha he has invited into his home. What's looming ahead for the Takurs is not a pretty picture. SS may seriously have overlooked a few points when he put this game into play. Will he regret the day he made this decision that might leave him crying outside the haveli with no potha again?
Changes in outlook?
Takurain is finally catching on to her samandhji's chaalaki moves. Surprising indeed to accept she could be Kesar's biological mother. SS may yet rue his decision one day. But what role does Prats play in all this especially when the show is all about Prats ban jayeeee. The new banner of MKAP shows a fiery/angry look on Prats's face'..a forecast foreboding of terrible times to come in the life of the Takurs? Kesar may have set in motion what could bring the downfall of the Takurs with Krishna and Prats stepping in to save the day.
Now aap🤗 bolbo please!😃
