In this show Shyamji is portrayed as someone who is known for his principles and righteousness. But y'day he was behaving like a hypocrite trying to impress IG. Though he said that jai ko apni galti sudharne ka mouka diya jana chahiye (which can be expected from a principled person) but it was clear (from his expressions and the reason he gave) that he was just trying to impress IG.
If they wanted to show Shyamji forgiving jai, they could have done in a nice way.
One can accept unpredictable behavior from krishna, komaliya, even Adarsh. But Shyamji se.. tauba..tauba..šŸ˜³šŸ˜•

@ Vishp-- Professors behavior was an indirect appreciation of people like IG and disapproval for criminals like Sajjan. Somewhere CVS had to make that contrast visible, which did they beautifully.

Sajjan Singh is so deep in his sins that without saying this on his face, his vibes prohibits people around him to give him another chance - Meaning Sajjan is a hopeless case and no concessions can be warranted to him.

Whereas Dayal Mathur - The IG - A character not liked by his own family for his strict implementation of law on every one regardless of their relationships, social status or affiliations be - simply can not be punished.

Here Sajjan could care less about Jai's punishment, Sajjan was trying to humiliate and hurt IG. And hence the victory for IG was imminently important to be shown, when professor and Adarsh let go Jai in appreciation of someone like IG who did'nt take a minute to put the culprit behind bar - though the culprit was his own son. Unlike Sajjan who can not even distinguish between right and wrong being a delusional person. A comparison that was neccessory - Well dipicted by the CVs šŸ‘šŸ‘

But from Shyamji's behavior it looked like he tried to impress IG. He said rishdedar hone ke naate hum ise galti sudharne ki mouka dete hai.

Why should professor not be impressed, His peer relationship with IG has a lot to do YES, BUT REASONS- IG have shown such a character through his actions that concessions can be given. His immediate efforts to punish his own son rather then protecting him was seen as instant justice for the victim - winning the victim's and his families heart.

I agree with everything you have written except the underlined bit. I think those two characters from the start have been shown as people who do what they believe is correct. They have never preached about what is right and wrong and done exactly opposite of it. They have always been clear that there loved ones take priority over anything. No right or wrong above that. Infact they are ready to bend any rule if it involves their loved ones

Kitabi baatein hain. I am a mom and I don't understand how you can forgive anyone who nearly kills your child and then drives away. I don't care how upstanding his father is.

I agree that those 2 are shown as people who do what they think is right. But I think at present K is in a confused state regarding what is right and what is wrong. Unpredictable behavior is acceptable from a confused mind.

Yep I agree with most of the comments here...I'm just wondering how Shymji would've reacted if this accident was done by some1 else other than Jai Mathur? I'm disgusted with Aman he didn't seem the slightest bit upset at all...Adarsh was left to die..simple hit n run case...Jai showed no remorse after this incident n even bragged to his friends that he was almost untouchable due to his father's position as an IG...He did not once go to his brothers n say 'help me out bro, I've made a terrible mistake..I'm in deep trouble...Jai shouldn't be allowed to walk free from this...at least he should serve a community service punishment where he does something that compensates for some of the hurt he's caused...He could try n earn what Adarsh was earning n pay him for his unemployed status...I mean surely with one of the men not working in the Saxena's houshold it must be difficult paying for certain essentials...
