Baba is a guy who lives in the moment. Takurain already ruined P's rangoli and if he gives her Papa the cold shoulder it will make her sad and he wants to give her the Diwali of her dreams. He puts her happiness first. Wonder if all the jewels he got her this year will be hawked off to pay bills next year when they move out and make it on their own. Or will Baba have a master plan to make it even better next year.
