Hey.... a couple of questions have been nagging me for a few days, I can't seem to make sense of them 😕
1. Apparently, until Prats revealed to the Thakurs that Kesar was pregnant, everyone in the household thought she was infertile anyway. They accepted that Shakti would never have a child. They were living with her for years, with no thought of remarriage for Shakti. Now that they've reverted Kesar back to the barren state, why is it necessary to get Shakti another wife? What's changed?
2. What's wrong with Shyam and Nainaji? As far as custom goes, I've always seen that when a proposal comes for a girl, nothing is finalized until the girls parents visit the guys house, check the living standards etc.... why aren't Shamu and Naina doing this? It's not exactly a love marriage, it's completely arranged. Don't they care what living accomodations Arushi will have after marriage? Instead they're in a rush to get them married, no engagement nothing 😕

both of your question is on my mind
1)....Pratigya, came into this family and things started to change....They felt like they have lost their son, she is a daughter in law, who they cannot control, she will even put them in jail. Kesar, life revolves around pratz. Kesar, know too much, so why not get rid of her....they will take every little things and make it a big deal.
2)....I don't understand these saxenas, starting with senior saxenas Dadi , she is advertising colgate lately with that smile........😡isn't Aarushi, still in school. they just will take anything educated at face value. as evil as amma, she did went and visit the saxenas home before komal marriage.

Maybe that's the difference now.... SS can not rely on Krishna to provide them with a heir as they're severing all ties with Krishna. Earlier, they didn't mind Shakti not having a child as Krishna was still there. Now, with only Shakti left, they HAVE to get him married again 😡

Mia, you think that is the reason? They don't mind the infertility issue much, they're just using it as an excuse to get rid of Kesar who knows too much? Hmmm, it is a possibility I guess. Methinks they'll get rid of Kesar as soon as Krishna Pratigya leave the house for good.
As for Saxenas, I just dont understand the hurry. 😕 Couldn't they say, ok Aman, we make the baat paki, we get you guys engaged and you get married when Arushi completes her studies? At least let her be a graduate like darling sis Prats. What's the sudden rush? That Shamu is always giving weird delerious smiles to his family, 😆 why doesn't he think clearly?

Elle45 - good questions
1 - IMO the Thakurs never really accepted that Shakti would never have a child. SS asked him many times "why/what are you waiting to give me a potha?" True they did refer to Kesar as barren because they didn't understand the reason why she wasn't pregnant despite being married for so long. But it was just a suspicion then, they weren't 100% sure therefore still had hope. Remember, SS seeing the situation not evolving, wanted Kesar to do a medical exam. He said "how can we find a solution if we don't know the problem". At that time Pratigya revealed the truth to Thakurs -- problem solved. But now the circonstances are different as they're now know for sure Kesar can never be a mother (according to the report).
2 - The Saxes will value anything educated. See how quickly they accepted the proposal without knowing so much about Aman. They have blind faith in him. They're thinking -- Aman is educated, a lawyer and had saved Papa dearest from long jail time --> that's must make him a good ladka.

Aeryn, I think ur right. I guess earlier SS was still hopeful about Kesar concvieving a child, now he knows that's impossible. SS seems to me to be more intelligent of the lot. All 3 Amma SS and Shakti are immoral but SS is really clever unlike the other two.
As for the Saxes, sometimes I think they portray exactly how an educated family SHOULD NOT act. Once Arushi gets married into the Mathurs, then Papa dearest will regret not doing research on the family. Thats what I think is the difference between the Saxena's and Thakurs. Saxenas are only book smart, Thakurs are Practical and street smart, which is more useful to survive in this world.

SS is the most intelligent out of the three -- SS reflects before acting, that's often not the case with the other two. You know you might question my sanity but I think SS is not that evil -- I see Amma and Shakti as the most evil. The mother and son duo love being bad, they enjoy others' pain gleefully. To me SS is the type of man who has no qualm in being immoral if it gives him what he wants. He does not see this as a mean to enjoyment but more of a way of achieving his goals......for me that's makes him less evil than the other two....

I really hope one day the Saxes (including prats) will realise they can't go on relying on their bookish knowledge if they want to survive in this world. Like you said Thakurs are practical and that is why you can relate to them (at least I can), that's also why I would prefer watching the Thakurs over the Saxes any day......
