Amazing how a scene can leave you with so many emotions! A wrenched gut, a sense of wonder and awe, empathy and a feeling of inevitability.
My heart tore a tiny bit when Krishna ripped up a Pratigya for accepting Kesar's baby-clothes. He saw those not as a gift from a shattered woman but as discards being accepted by an indigent couple! That is how far off balance he is feeling, how wretched he is that he has been unable to provide for his wife, how deeply his self-esteem has been shaken. And typically, in the time-honoured way of a male who is not feeling very good about himself he lashes out at the woman. Suddenly now it is Pratigya who does not respect him, Pratigya who is at fault for doubting him. Pratigya who has not uttered a word!
Then later feeling further tormented by his own behavior, he seeks to assuage his tortured feelings with the best remedy known to a Man, that is, through sex. His wife is tired and emotionally wrung out, she wants the woman's way to peace, she pleads a need to rest. He turns on the lights and accuses her petulantly of not loving him. She realizes that his need is too great tonight and lets him have his way in the sweetest manner possible; playfully, romantically, without letting him know that she is being kind putting her own need away for his, which of course is the kindest thing women often do for love. It was poignant, a little tragic (because the very first flush of romantic love has been infected a little bit by the bile of the outside world) and still spoke of love, but in a whole new different way.
Pratigya is proving the strength of her love in every way!
Krishna however has been thrown a very severe challenge, his first steps faltered. May I add, as usual? But when have we ever known for Baba to ever really fail at anything. He is a spoilt man, he is a somewhat self-centered man, he is a man with an ego. He is basically a MAN. But he is also an extraordinary man. And however torturous the process may be for us his fans to see, it is one he will have to go through, Baba HAS to fall before he rises. But rise he will!๐

The awe that I felt is directed at the unbelievably talented CVs!! NO other TV show in this industry would have had the GUTS to bring in such a scene. They have no hesitancy whatsoever in shining the spotlight firmly at the warts of their most beloved characters! They don't hesitate to show us the many wonderful and not so great aspects of even the most loving relationship like KRIYA with crystal clarity. They don't hesitate to change, mutate, and evolve.
NOTHING is black and white in this show! Not even the relationship of KRIYA!! When most people would have hesitated to touch the golden goose, these CVs have the rare creative integrity to show us that some part of the goose is only brown and then they have the Talent to make us see that a mix of colours is actually even more beautiful!! KUDOS CVs โ for the Nth time!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
