Hi Frns ,
I seem to be in a mood for Long winded post ...am going to inflict you with one now đ ...This by far will be the longest for me ...First Installment comes Now...gauging the response will go for the second one !!
This time I have tried my hand on Pratigya ...I may cause heart burn to few of you ...you may wish to bash me...feel free to do so !!đ....a few of you would be inclined to congos me ,,,I encourage u , I positively urge u to do so ...for either way ...your reactions will only help me in understanding the characters much better ...without further Ado..shall we move on to the first installment !!
Pratigya ---What is she ?? Who is she ?
Pratigya - A studious girl, a daddy's girl, whose world begins and ends in her family, who is deeply devoted to her family's welfare ,despite her education has still retained her respect for culture, soft spoken, thoughtful ,Conservative, Modern but still upholding the core values of Tradition.
Pratigya --- A self absorbed , intellectually Arrogant, superior complex-ed, disrespectful, frigid, cold, contemptuous,ill mannered , self centered,selfish,heartless woman.
2 views with no common ground apart from the fact...these 2 views relates to the same person !!! who then is Pratigya ? Is she a dutiful daughter or a heartless wife ....is she a warm and caring person or is she a cold and uncaring person ...
let us trace her journey..Shall we ?
A young girl after completing her studies comes back to her family filled with no other aspirations other than to bask in the love and affections of her family. she has no other agenda, she is not filled with the ambition to earn Money, go abroad nor does she has any burning agenda to change the ways and thoughts of the outdated society..her first thought is for her family, her second thought is for her family ,in short unlike other girls she is dreaming about BF's or marriage, Kids or she is not being materialistic and hoping to cash in on her studies .....her world so far has revolved around books and academia ...now it is time for Family.....But does she get it....Fate intervenes ....and provides the first intimation that her life has begun to alter and ironically she starts this alteration without even being aware that her one simple act at protecting her modesty will set loose a chain of reaction that will eventually end up in tilting her world upside down .....what Happens ?
A Lothario eyes her and passes lewd comments ...Comments which are ignored at first but when the Lothario ups his ante , the girl tries to reason, gives a warning and when all this fails..she decides enough is enough and serves him a slap and prison confinement ...here we have the first intimation of her character ...she is not the girl who will immediately react to provocation but takes time to decide , who will reason out and one who will patiently bear the brunt up to a limit once the limit is crossed, she will react ...and damn the ramification's ...The ramification's can be fought another day !! ..Look at her she does not cry or crib ..she looks him in the eye and makes sure her slap is delivered to his ego !! but unfortunately ...he is not a tame Lothario as she supposes , he wants to get even, towards this end...he seeks the help of a rich, spoilt ,dare devil Man who believes that his writ is the law and women are the second class citizens who were born to serve the Men ....An uneducated man experienced in life , one who with a flick of hand can decide the fate of many ppl ,a stubborn and egoistical man, A passionate Man ,A man who who lives by his own code and honor , A Man who takes impromptu and impulsive decision, A strong willed Man, By any means he is not intellectual but he is clever and brilliant ..
Imagine this 2 worlds ...one world is like a still and calm pond where even a tiny leaf swirling and falling can cause ripples while another is a ocean where there is always a ceaseless bounding and crashing of waves that a leaf will not even merit a bubble ..let alone a ripple ....A world which is always roiling...what happens when this world is set on a collision course ...why ? naturally The ocean will engulf the Pond and that is what happened...the pond is not given the option of joining or being alone...The ocean is on onward roll, sees the pond , wants the pond and engulfs and submerges the pond BUT it had not reckoned on the depth of the pond... Oh ! Boy it had badly under estimated the depth of the pond ....And the pond gathered its resources from its depth and began to fight back ....!!
