This is the story of pratigya-----an ordinary educated grl frm a middle class family whu turns out to be extraordinary due to her way of handling thngs and her extreame will power....
on her way back home in allahabad.. she gets abused and insulted by a goon angad in the train whose intolerable actions forces her to raise her hand on him...and punish him by calling the police... unfortunately this goon happens to be frm allahabad as well and fuming in anger he decides to take his revenge frm her.. at first he tries to track her and tease her wherevr she goes bt finding police coming in between often,he backs away... then one of his nuissance frnd advises him to contact krishna,the local maharaja of the town and relate his prblm to him... angad follows his advice and convinces krishna to kidnap pratigya.... as planned,krishna goes to kidnap pratigya while she was going somewhere with her younger sister aarushi on a rickshaw, bt on seeing her,he loses his heart to her.... frm then on,he starts day dreaming abt her and his world revolves around her pretty face... he evn beats up angad black and blue as he dared to cntinue his nasty games with pratigya evn after he had told him nt to.. he declares her to be his future wife in frnt of all his frnds and tells them to respect her as a sister-in-law...he evn managed to know her name and inscribed it on his hand permanently... now thngs became more cmplicated wen krishna started to send pratigya anonymous letters and gifts becoz he used to thnk that pratigya likes him too.. pratigya became scared as her engagement had been fixed with someone else,nitin... she hid her worries frm her family as she didn't want to make them tensed... this was her biggest mistake as in her engagement function krishna stormed in and created a huge scene... he was under the assumption that pratigya was in love with him bt her family was forcing her into marrying someone else.. unable to make him understand that she had no interest in him and unable to stop his hooliganism,pratigya slapped him in frnt of everyone.... krishna,too raised his hand as a reflex action....bt that hand did nt come down on her,becoz he loved her.... anyways pratigya cmpleted the engagement in frnt of his vry eyes.. to answer him back properly.....krishna cudnt take this in and left the place without another single word...
it was then that angad steps into the matter....he wanted to take revenge frm krishna as well as pratigya and he knew that it was his golden chance... he wrote pratigya and krishna's name together on pratigya's neighbour's wall so that their family loses all respect and honour... he beat up pratigya's fioncee and puts the blame on krishna's shoulders whu wasn't evn aware that these thngs happened... pratigya's engagement broke and her family suffered for no fault of theirs.... they weren't aware of any angad..so the only person they held responsible for all these thngs was KRISHNA.... and the evidences also pointed towards him,angad did evrythng in a vry calculated manner.... it crossed all limits of pratigya's tolerance wen she got kidnapped and had to spent one night outside her home... the person whu kidnapped her was angad,bt he disguised himself in such a manner that pratigya thot it was krishna whu had kidnapped her...angad inscribed her name on his hand as krishna had done to make her believe that it was krishna behind all these.... this was wen pratigya decided to take a decision.a decision that wud change her whole life... she decides to marry krishna to teach him a lesson and to show him that he cannot acquire someone's love by force... on the other hand krishna,whu didn't know wat happened,was happy with the relationship as he thot that at last he had been able to win her over with his love....
here came another twist as pratigya's elder brother adarsh,whu ws nt at all happy with her decision,decided to marry krishna's sister so that if krishna treated pratigya badly after marriage,he cud take the revenge on his sister,komal....
the marriages took place after a lot of twists and turns.. komal,whu was totally tomboyish and big-mouthed went to the saxena's to start her new phase in life...while pratigya came to the thakur household to face much more challenges and hurdles... thus started the journey of a strong woman in such a household where women had no respect and were regarded as "pair ki jooti" or mere SHOES.... on their frst night,pratigya made it clear to krishna that she dint marry him becoz she loved him..bt to teach him a lesson.. this made krishna mad at her as she ruined all his dreams and hopes of a happy married life and he left the room,disgusted and frustrated... bt evn after that krishna stood by her evrytime wen his family members tried to insult her to raise their hands at her.. he protected her evrytime and evn going against his own father... bt still pratigya gave him a cold shoulder... krishna wanted to make evrythng okay between them and so he conviced his father to send them to their honeymoon where they were also accompanied by komal and adarsh... while thngs became somewhat positive between komal and adarsh,they became worse between krishna and pratigya and for the frst time krishna cudnt keep control of his temper and let out all his frustrations on her.... he presented a vry bad picture of himself in frnt of pratigya becoz he had nvr learnt any better frm his family and his parents... he didn't know how to handle sensitive situations...all he knew was to get angry and to show his anger....and thats wat he did... bt agen he cudnt force himself on pratigya becoz he cudnt tolerate her tears, and thereby left the room,with a vow that he wud nvr try to touch her again.... they came back frm their honeymoon, with sheer hatred against each other as a gift..... krishna loved his family vry much and did nt want to hurt them so he requested pratigya to pretend in frnt of them that they were having a vry good relationship evn if she had to lie for this....
meanwhile wen they were away,angad had insulted pratigya's sister,aarushi and her father.. krishna became blind in rage wen he got to know abt that and challenged angad for a open fight... there angad stabbed him frm back and he became terribly injured... after teaching angad a proper lesson for his cowardice and forcing him to ask for forgiveness to aarushi and pratigya's father,he returned home,hurt and suffering.. his condition melted pratigya's heart and she cared for him... although krishna showed his attitude to her and told her nt to touch him... wen he became unconscious in pain.. she became anxious for him and called the doctor...she evn cudnt help her tears.. after all,he was her husband..and his condition worried her.. wen she came to know frm her father that he had done all these for her family,somewhere in her heart she felt that probably krishna wasn't that bad as she had assumed him to be... her trust towards him increased wen he helped her in bringing out the truth of his own brother whu had forced his wife in aborting their child four times just becoz he didn't want babies with her complexion---dusky.... krishna helped pratigya in saving the fifth baby frm getting aborted.. thngs had started to take a turn for the better wen one day pratigya fell ill all of a sudden and her in-laws assumed her to be pregnant.. she wanted to tell them the truth that she wasn't...bt krishna stopped her.. he didn't want his family to get hurt and hence he forced her to pretend that she was pregnant and carry out the lie evn in frnt of her own family... pratigya felt terribly bad to live such a big lie and it tortured her.. krishna wasn't ready to listen to anything so she herself broke the silence one day during a puja held in her in-laws for the sake of their unborn grandchildren, and blurted out the truth that she wasn't pregnant... this invited other questions regarding their proper married life and she was forced to say that she did nt share a physical relationship with her husband... the outburst of this harsh truth made krishna so blind that he slapped her in frnt of his as well as her own family members... pratigya felt extreamely insulted at this and she decides to leave her in-laws at once.... her courage,her extreame will power and her confidence made her stubborn father-in-law outraged and he decided to throw her out of their house by himself... he did nt evn listen to krishna wen he tried to stop him.. bt this time pratigya's father spoke up. he was shattered at his daughter's condition and stood by her.. he said to her in-laws that he wud nvr let his daughter stay in some place where she had no respect and himself took her away....
krishna became terribly devastated at this.. he knew vry well that he loved pratigya quite a lot and cud nt live without her... he started breaking thngs and bringing the whole house down in frustration and anger... all he wanted was to get pratigya back.... bt this time his father sajjan singh as well as other members of his family were totally against him.. sajjan singh stated it flat on his face that he wud nvr let pratigya come back to their house again... krishna started to miss pratigya terribly and he hurt himself for slapping her... then he evn went to her house to bring her back... bt her father told him flatly that he wud send her to his house only wen his father will come to take her back with full respect and honour... krishna returns home,fuming in rage... he continued with his violent actions at home also and breaks a flower vase on his brother's head.. he evn threatens them that he cud go to any level if they didn't bring pratigya back...

Krishna desperately tries to take Pratigya back home but is refused by Pratigya. Prof. Shyam and Adarsh support Pratigya and Krishna starts getting aggressive, when he is stopped by Komal who supports Prof. Shyam's decision! Krishna gets back home and challenges SS that he will have to be the one to bring back Pratigya. Naina and Komal go to the market. Krishna calls Pratigya but Pratigya hangs up after saying that Krishna should first learn how to speak properly and then call!!!
SS is frustrated bcoz of Krishna's behaviour and leaves while saying that he will bring back Pratigya! Komal and Naina are in the market and Komal beats up two eave-teasers for whistling at them. Prof. Shyam tells Komal that what she did was not wrong but her ways were wrong. Komal replies back by saying that why doesn't Prof. make Pratigya understand that Krishna really loves Pratigya but his ways are wrong! Krishna is confused and asks Kesar that if she can tolerate Shakti's beatings, why can't Pratigya... Aarushi reminds Pratigya of Prof. Shyam's teachings that one should do what their heart wants and asks Pratigya to listen to her heart, no matter what! Adarsh apologizes to Komal and Komal decides to forgive him if he takes her to the movies and both agree and hug each other! Krishna is waiting impatiently for SS to come back with Pratigya.
SS enters the Saxena house and the Saxenas think that he has come to take Pratigya home. But SS clears up their misunderstandings by saying that he has come to take Komal back! Komal leaves the house after telling Adarsh to come to take her in a few days and blaming Pratigya for ruining both Adarsh and Krishna's lives! Shakti threatens to kill Kesar's baby as there is no Pratigya to save her this time. Krishna asks SS where Pratigya is and SS tells him off by saying that Krishna shouldn't take SS's words lightly. Krishna is getting restless to know why SS dint bring Pratigya and SS refuses to ruin his family's blood by bringing back Pratigya! Krishna says that he lied to make SS happy and he wants Pratigya back, that's it!
Krishna asks Komal why she left her sasural and what is the drama with SS. Komal tells Krishna to not take SS lightly and that SS did not bring back Komal because of Pratigya but because of Krishna himself! Komal tells Krishna that because of him, all of them are suffering! Amma tells SS about her plan so that they won't have to become bad in front of their children nor would they have to bring back Pratigya and SS agrees with her! Krishna thinks of Pratigya and sees her in his room and when he realizes that he is hallucinating, he becomes angry and restless and leaves the house after shouting at everyone for sleeping soundly after ruining his sleep! Krishna calls Pratigya but she refuses to talk as its late at night and everyone is sleeping. Krishna rings the bell and Dadi tells Pratigya to meet him because otherwise, he will keep harassing them the whole night! Pratigya opens the door for Krishna!
Pratigya asks Krishna why doesn't he realize that he is harassing everyone else! Krishna says that he doesn't want to harass her family and just wants to talk with her for 2/3 minutes and he wants to come inside! Pratigya takes Krishna to the terrace so they can talk. Pratigya notices Krishna's injured hand and Krishna tells Pratigya that he hasn't eaten ever since she left. Pratigya brings dinner for Krishna and tells him to eat up! Krishna chokes while eating and Pratigya gives him water and massages his back! Pratigya asks Krishna to leave and Krishna says that he will be back to take her home the next day! The Saxenas are disturbed to know that Krishna came late at night to see Pratigya. SS decides that Pratigya can come back only if she agrees to apologize to every person in the house. Komal says that she doesn't care if Pratigya comes back or not, all she wants to do is go back to her sasural! Krishna says to the Saxenas that he is ready to forget the past and has come to take back Pratiyga. And all Pratigya will have to do is ask for forgiveness from his Amma and SS! Pratigya asks why should she seek forgiveness when she didn't do any wrong and she refuses to apologize!
Krishna says no.She then asks him to leave, Krishna says that normally no one dares to ask me to leave, but since i promised i'll leave, i came here to tell that i'll come tomorrow to take u back home.
Pratigya shocked.
