Absolutely and well said. Rape and domestic violence are very serious problems plaguing our society. Why is it that the woman should love the guy she has been forced to marry - be it krishna or any other arranged marriage? We live in the 21st century and believe that women should have equal rights yet some of us come on forums like these and talk like they live in the dark ages. We should all be getting together and telling creatives that this is not what we would like to see..instead they should put up Pratigya the protagonist as a driving force of reform and model for other long time sufferring women.

URGH...i have no more to say. Working in a battered women's clinic I have had personal experience with many of these women (who may not have even been battered comparative to others) but their mind set, the fact that they were psychologically abused and in a de-meaning position is enough! I hope for their sake, people would see media is a tool that affects our social outlook...and some of the people's on this forums is just disgusting!

I loved what you said about Pratigya's civil right. We as fans of the show want Kriya to be happy. But you are absolutely right if Pratigya doesnt want to love Krishna that is her right and her choice. The right to love who you want is one of the most fundamental rights of a human being. Sometimes we can't explain away why one person loves another, because love is crazy and unpredictable, but at the same time we cant explain away why one person CAN'T love another person even if they are the most ideal person in the world and are perfect for you. Love is random and cannot be made to happen. Heart wants what it wants. 👏

and would u girls believe it, some people in Allahabad are protesting 'against' this show, reason being that the show promotes caste system...
can't they learn better things from the show like how to respect women instead of trying to get cheap publicity!
