What a transformation Pooja!

Pooja Gor, who plays the lead in Mann ki Awaaz has a story that reminds us of the TV commercial where a girl changes from an ugly duckling to a beautiful model, with her father's support.

Pooja apparently looked very different just a few years ago. "I didn't realise how much looks mattered in this world. Till the age of 18 I was very studious and not at all concious about how I looked. I wore huge spectacles and just didn't bother to dress up well. My father has always been my support and he recognised my talent and thought I was very pretty and gave me this entire makeover from hair to makeup everything you can ever think of. Today I'm a much more confident person and the only reason I'm here is because of my father."

Her father himself is in modelling... he has modeled for some print media ads.

Excuse me ..sorry to interrupt u girls..bt the fact is tht its jst tht bcoz of me being so much engrossed in study..I wudnt care abt looking good...bt my dad made me understand tht self presentation is also imp...n y shudnt 1 if he or she is deserving...

Thers no question of an artificial beauty...he jst made me realise my beauty...n asked me to replace my big spectacles by lenses..thts it...I really dnt understand. Tht y do ppl have to ppl comments on sm1...without information...first we shud learn to look in the mirror..accept the reality n thn pin point to ppl..

I thot u guys must be friendly..guys u broke my heart...
