Dear friends,

I feel like such a fraud (attention -seeking walla), dropping in posts about leaving IF from time to time, lapping up all your sweet love and concern and then, showing no lasting signs of having finally left..! Really left! 😆

Always back like a bad penny, here's Jenny! Once again...!!!😊

The fact of the matter is that I'm seriously trying to cure myself of this addiction called IPKKND and IF..(Iss Addiction Ko Kya Naam Doon:/), and I'm predicting quite a few relapses before I succeed. I'm sure, a lot of you are sailing in similar boats...:)

Now about this thread: This is something I'd been planning on posting for the longest time ever, but for some reason or the other, never got around to actually doing it until now.

I joined IF about a year ago and during the course of these 15 months, I wrote two FFs( both with over 45 chapters), 3-4 SSs and a handful of OSs as well. As you can see, I've been very busy writing and if you couple that with a hectic AD, it boils down to having minimal time on my hands to actually read other people's stories..😲

My loss entirely...! I've missed reading some works that are among the most acclaimed on IF and I plan to catch up on them soon. Please don't mind if you don't see your favorite writer on my little list...😊

I haven't read a lot and the few that I have read are the ones that were either recommended by a friend or whose update-notifications I received in my inbox.

This is my humble tribute to all those writers whose works I enjoyed reading and whom I loved knowing on a personal level as well, however brief or infrequent our interactions might have been..

I'm not rating them or listing them in the order of merit or anything like that...😊Honestly, I'm not really equipped or qualified enough to do that...!

So here I present, a list of writers I admire a lot...( In alphabetical order)

A_BA

Very sweet, warm person and a damn good writer. Her prose is absolutely impeccable and I love her story 'Awakening' because it took one of the most gut-wrenching scenes from the show and showed another kind of scenario that could have arisen from it. Her story is full of sensitivity, emotions and an absolute pleasure to read :)She has another SS (Outside the lines) going on which I've bookmarked because it shows Arnav as a cricketer...:D

Anarocksick

She is sweet, funny, intelligent and no-nonsense at the same time. The name she gave to her index, 'An index with no fancy name', says it all :) Her 'It's Complicated' is one of the few stories on IF that I can read again and again and not just for the 'Beautiful Devil' in it!!. Her prose has an enviable flow to it and sparkles effortlessly with humor, wit, emotions and common sense. No author on earth can weave together a love confession with Dal- E-Makhani with such aplomb...:D
And then you read 'Afterglow', pure poetry in prose and wonder if it's the same person who wrote this as well...

Ana, you're beautiful inside out and I love you, dammit:)

Anupama

Ms. Anu, I don't know if it's due to 'Lucknow ki chashni waali hawa' or not, but you're one of the sweetest, warmest, sincerest people on IF. And I love you. Your sense of humor is super cute :)
I love reading your stories because they come straight from your heart...they are sweet, warm, honest and reading them makes me feel really good afterwards..
'Brewing Up' is one of the most beautiful, evocative pieces of fiction on IF. Just thinking about it takes me to the tea gardens of Darjeeling, and I can almost smell the fragrance of brewing 'Darjeeling Oolong' wafting from Khushi's little tea shop. And your 'Ainvai' OSs are anything but...:/ 'Anu's Ainvai is a new euphemism for awesome...bas..

Your new FF, 'To Have Loved And Lost' looks so wonderfully exciting...looking forward to reading it..:)

Anonymous

I haven't really interacted a lot with you but you come across as a really sweet and sensible person:) I have just read one story by you, "For Your Sake" and as I mentioned in my comment, I was simply blown away by it. You write so, so well that it's not even funny..!
The concept of this story was unconventional and the way you handled it with so much sensitivity and realism was absolutely breathtaking. Your writing style is beautifully unique because it explores the inner universe of the protagonists in great detail and seldom relies on external factors to take the story forward.

I have heard a lot about your MKM series and look forward to reading it one day..:)

Aquasandhya..

You already know just how much I love you, so I will skip that :) You are one of my closest friends on IF and there is something about you that makes talking to you seem just so very easy. Your sweetness, warmth, honesty and intelligence just leap out of each and every word you write. Even before you started writing 'Dawn, Noon and Dusk'( One of my fav ongoing FF), I used to love reading your comments on other people's stories. Your prose is brilliantly subtle, full of emotions, humor, smiles and tears. In fact, everything that life is about. You have an artist's eye for beautiful details and a real talent for conjuring up the perfect ambience for romance..:)

DND's Khushi is one of my favorite Khushis in FF world.

Love you, dear...:)

Eccentrica..

I have read just one story by you, 'Many A Moon Ago' and stating that I was awed by it's brilliance would be a gross understatement. You write flawlessly and your classic, formal writing style is tailor-made for this kind of period romance. I have heard a lot about, 'It's Meant To Be Eventually' and 'Opposites Do Not Attract' and hope to find a chance to read it soon :)

My interaction with you has been minimal but whatever little I know about you has made me admire you immensely as a person and as a writer :)

Expelliaramus..

I have read only one story by you...'Shattered' and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the power and beauty of your narration stunned me. 'Disarmed' me completely, in fact...:D
Your writing is absolutely impeccable and your narration has this underlying vein of romanticism mixed with intelligence that makes for an utterly irresistible combination.
It is without a doubt one of the best pieces of fiction on IF and I loved the way you took all those underused tag lines from the initial promos and incorporated them brilliantly into your story line.

Besides admiring you as a writer, I like you as a person beause you've always come across as someone who's affable, intelligent, generous and humble...:)

Maverickmartin

I love your OS, 'Riverside', it's like a beautiful, unforgettable work of art. There is a poetic, almost magical quality to your writing :) I really wish you had more time to write but then, at your age, pursuit of education should definitively be top most priority.
You are such a warm, sweet person and I have loved knowing you :)
You are also one of the most creative banner-makers on IF and I love all the banners you made for my stories.

Meera30

I have told her on many occasions that not only is she one of my favorite authors on IF but one of my favorite people as well :) What can I even say about her writing that hasn't been said already, either by me or by someone else! Her writing has always been consistently flawless right from her very first works..:) Her prose is impossibly impeccable and her narration a perfect, seamless blend of pure poetry with mature realism. Meera, your stories will remain with me for a long, long time...:)

I am really looking forward to starting your ongoing story,' Emerald Isle Tales' :)

I love and admire you as a person because you are genuine, warm, humble and full of not so common, common-sense :)
You are always very encouraging of new writers ...:)
And I love your taste in music..!

Mem1

Geeta, you have one of the best sense of humors on IF and I've had a lovely time reading 'Musings Of Arnav Singh Raizada'. It was not only a novel concept but the way you executed it with so much wit and understated humor was just perfect..:) Your 'W*F' was wonderful too but it ended too soon and didn't quite satiate us. Please write again, whenever you get a chance..:)

I love you because you're a mature, well balanced person with an amazing sense of humor and it's always a pleasure interacting with you. And we think alike on so many different things...:))

Nidsubh007

My most favorite Bond Girl on this planet...!!!
One of my first friends on this forum...I love you so much..!!
Your 'Finding Love', was the first FF, I followed right from the prologue. You are a terrific writer and what I like most about your stories is that they are so real. No terrible, unfortunate pasts, no unnecessary angst, no beaten to death plots of 'two sad souls finding solace in each other', no anger management problems in the male protagonist... ...yet brilliant stories that keep you engrossed till the end.

Jeez, if someone told I couldn't use even one of the aforementioned entities, I wouldn't be able to write a word !
Of all your stories, 'You Are The One', is my favorite. You showed a beautiful interplay of emotions in that one and made me cry buckets..:)

I love you because you're the best possible friend one could ask for..

Rasgulla_sp

I have just read, 'An Apate Affair' by you and enjoyed every word of it. I love how brilliantly you balanced humor and romance leading to a very memorable story. You writing is so awesome that you can visualize all the events, as if they're happening right in front of you. I wish I had discovered you earlier!

Your comments always reflect your depth and maturity as a person and I have a lot of respect for you because you are always so encouraging of new writers :)

Semanti

I am always in awe of the quality of her writing. Simply flawless. And her narration is an absolute delight to read.
If I had to use one word for your narrative style, I would say...'Panache'. Your plots are realistic, interlaced with the right amounts of romance, humor and emotions and with believable, contemporary characters. Ah, I will never be able to forget 'Capt. Raizada', one of my favorite Arnavs on IF :)
The 'Celebration' series is another beautiful, masterpiece by you that actually deserves to be published.

Semanti, I haven't interacted a whole lot with you but enough to like and admire you for being such a sensible, humble and generous person. And very fun to interact with!

Ssyahoo

Sami is another of my dearest friends on IF and there are so many qualities that I love about her. First and foremost, I really admire the way she balances her hectic AD with IF world. No mean feat, that!

And Sami, you're such a wonderful friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those who need it. You're a sweetheart, bas..:)
I love your stories, with 'A New Khushi' being my favorite. Like I have said on many different occasions, if there were to be, a Season 2 for IPKKND, the CVs would benefit immensely from 'A New Khushi'. It will teach them how to take the story forward without resorting to moronic tracks...!

I love you, Sami and I'm glad I met you on IF.

VgEdin

I have a confession to make. When I first saw the title of your FF, I had to look up it's meaning..!

However, after finding out the meaning, my curiosity was piqued and I started reading it. And I'm so glad I did because 'Polemic Jackanapes' is a beautifully written piece of fiction that nobody should miss. Your narrative voice is mature, restraint and steeped in realism. The events in the story seem so real, almost as if they were happening to you and then, without warning, without any kind of buildup, the emotions hit you...and you're surprised on finding your eyes wet.

Twiggy, It's been a pleasure knowing you because you're such a warm, lovable person that it's impossible to know you and not love you...:)

Thanks for sharing your beautiful stories with us...:)

Hugs,🤗

Jen...:)

PS: I might add more authors when I find time to read all those recommended stories that have been bookmarked for future reading. I know I have only covered the tip of the iceberg here..:)

PART TWO...coming soon...

Some newer authors that I've read recently or were recommended by friends...

Jenny,

Your post made me teary eyed and emotional 🤗I'm so honored to be included in the list of writers you admire and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for such sweet words for me.

This means so much coming from an author and person that I admire, love , and respect! Your stories Jenny are almost magical. The emotional roller coaster, the laughs, and the romance that I have encountered with your stories have been one of my favorite of all times! Don't think I will ever forget Foster and the bonds that were created.

You have touched the hearts of so many with your kind and humble nature, lovely words, and friendly gestures! Our forum would not be the same without you and it saddens me to think you are leaving. But you have to do whats right for you and your family. We will stay in touch and my heartfelt wishes for lots of love, happiness, and good health for 2014 and years to come.
