Naazneen Patel is quitting Bhabhi because she is fed up of her co-star aping her look on the afternoon show Naazneen I Patel, who plays Megha in the Star soap Bhabhi, is quitting the afternoon drama. Reason? Her track is turning negative and she does not want to essay a scheming, menacing character, or so we've been told. But the real reason, as usual, is something else. The buzz is that Naazneen and the show's protagonist Rucha Gujarathi (who plays Suhana) have a peculiar problem. It is learnt that whenever Nazneen styles her look in a particular way, Rucha promptly copies it! Fit as a fiddle Is that the real reason why Naazneen is quitting the UTV show? Says Naazneen, "I don't want to get into all this, but there have been certain issues that I feel strongly about. I have conveyed this to the channel and the production house. It is up to them to take call." According to the buzz, Naazneen and Rucha don't see eye-to-eye over their make-up and styling on the show. Says an onlooker, "Naazneen feels that she is a trendsetter. She is extremely conscious about her body, her looks and clothes. She thinks she has an upper hand with reference to the rest." Miss Know-All I Couldn't Care Less! Rucha Gujarathi The actress admits that she is extremely conscious about her image. "Fitness is very important to me. I used to be a hockey player at Khalsa College. For a while I was an airhostess with Saudia. After I quit flying and took up acting, I realised that most television actresses did not care for their looks and body. I strive hard for a toned body and I can carry off anything, but most actresses are clueless even about styling." When we checked with Rucha about the copying allegations, she says, "Why would I copy anyone? I don't want to comment on silly things. All I can say is that when I started wearing a neckpiece, she also started wearing one too. Then I began to apply a smoky eye shadow and the next thing I know she's doing that too. What more can I say?" Naazneen, who made her debut in Kahiin Kissi Roz (Star) and has featured in shows like Kkehna Hai Kuch Mujhko (Sony) and Pancham (Zee), refrains from making comments about the copycat issue. "I have already informed UTV about my decision to quit. They are contemplating whether to replace my character or kill it off." Naazneen is also doing Jignesh Parekh's film Karan, which stars Sonali Kulkarni and Seema Biswas. "I want to concentrate on acting and play positive roles from now on," she says on a parting shot. Incidentally, during her Kkusum days, Aashka Goradia (who played Kumud) had alleged that after she got a makeover — a chic new hairstyle and colour job – Rucha (who played Mahi) also went in for a similar look and to the same hairstylist, Perri Patel!

Just because you do smoky eye shadow one day, doesn't mean you'll be the only one doing it everyday! Eye make-up is really popular…I mean.. lots of girls put on eye shadow…so wht's there to copy? I dun get it =p. Like I said…it's really childish. 😆

And anyway…once I was watching this interview on TV and it was some interview of an Hollywood actress..and I don't remember who it was .. but I remember the question asked..and her reply. The interviewer was like, 'How was ur dress style in high school?' or something like that… and the actress was like 'Before, I use to mind when people copied me, but now I learnd, to take it as a compliment.' And I think wht she said… is actually very true. You should just take it as a compliment. I dunno who 'copied' who.. but .. they should both just take it as a compliment. I just showed my friend this article.. and.. she was like ..'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' haha.. nice quote, na? 😳😃
