Koffee With Karan Season 4 Recap: Ranveer Singh And Arjun Kapoor

Before we get to grips with this episode, a question: was Ranveer Singh wearing a hair piece? AChia Pet? Was it a new take on the Justin Bieber? Or just a comb forward, the yin to his ponytail yang that he sported on the last season of Koffee With Karan? And who or what did that to his hair? Singh said he was going for a vintage look, but we're not sure any era gone by will claim the style as its own. Hair notwithstanding, on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan, Singh and his Bro For Lyfe Arjun Kapoor managed to upstage KJo completely, seeming to only really have eyes (and arms) for each other. At the end, Karan Johar, who said he felt like he'd been knocked by a truck of Red Bull, exhorted the duo to "sign the mug and leave". But was KJo just feigning annoyance or did Singh and Kapoor manage to do what no one has until this point - pretty much forget KJo was even there? In our recap of episodes of season four of Koffee With Karan, we sniff out the bullshit factor, rating it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being a crock o' Leprechaun gold, and 1 being honest-to-God sainthood.
Ranveer Singh Is Definitely Not Dating Deepika Padukone
Just as Singh denied being in a relationship with Anushka Sharma on season three of KWK and then again on Simi Selects India's Most Desirable, he refused to walk into KJo's cleverly baited statement that Ram-Leela was his solo film "with his girlfriend" i.e. Deepika Padukone. Instead, he rehashed that eye-rolling go-to statement of stars everywhere: "We're good friends". KJo didn't seem to buy it, and neither did anyone who's ever called a significant other a "very special person". Unfortunately for Singh, he could do nothing about his brofriend Arjun Kapoor who when asked who he would kill, marry or hook-up with from Padukone, Sharma and Alia Bhatt, said "I'm killing Deepika because she took him away from me."
Ranveer Singh Is Possibly Also Dating Arjun Kapoor
Did KJo even need to be there? Probably not, something he seemed to be a little miffed about, saying all this "metrosexuality is making me feel awkward and uncomfortable". Kapoor and Singh couldn't seem to get enough of each other, with Singh introducing Kapoor as his "aakhon ka tara", saying later that his wildest fantasy was "Arjun Kapoor tied to a bed", and alternating between complimenting Kapoor's delts and pecs and feeling them up. Was it us, or did the two, who persisted on calling each other baba' throughout, have more chemistry sitting on KJo's couch than any other couple - fake or real - before them? "You're my jiggar ka tukda," Singh said after Kapoor spoke wrenchingly of his mother's passing. Altogether now: aaaw.
Arjun Kapoor Is Kinda Adorbs
Kapoor, also known to Bwood insiders as Fubu for once upon a time donning a label of oversized clothing during his fat days, made one of the most normal seeming debuts on KJo's couch. Rather than spin doctoring his own story, dredging up fake tears or pretending to be shocked by the gasp, good fortune, of it all, Boney Kapoor's son showed himself to be deadpan and droll, which is to say, two traits about as rare in Bollywood as an un-Botoxed forehead. He made fun of his fat days, openly admitted that he was making up for lost time in the girl department, and spoke touchingly of his relationship with his mother, who was famously left by his father for Sridevi. "Is the family situation a demon you fight?" asked KJo to which Kapoor said candidly, "Of course it is" before conceding that the dynamics were complicated, and that he was "respectful towards her (Sridevi). She is my father's wife, my father is very happy with her and that is very important to me."
