Hai! Kitni lambi hai yeh raat

Tum jo bahoo mein na ho aaj

Pyaasey hai yeh hooth

Madira kay ek boond ke liye

Dhoondh rahe hai haath

Botal kay thandak ko

Sar Chakra Raha Hai

Bas, ek jaam ki hai Uttejana.

Sar charka raha hai

Haath botal kay thandak

Ko dhoondh rahe hai

Madira kay ek boond ke liye

The poem is quite unique indeed, but is it because the lines in the second stanza are in the exact reverse order as the first stanza?
