I was watching Zee 24 Marathi...News segment and there was a news segment on Tanisha Mukherjee... Looks like the girl has bagged another movie role in the Marathi film industry... The gist of the segment I am writing below... Will try and find a link to it... Kudos to her... In Marathi movies Mahesh Manjrekar is the best bet for resurrecting a dead career...
The segment started with Tanisha's current Marathi movie which was to be started after her exit from big Boss is currently on hold for Financial reason. They hinted that the Kohli's might co Produce it along with Tanisha herself.
A prominent Marathi Filmmaker, Mahesh Manjrekar who has already made his name in the Hindi Film industry with award winning movies like Vaastav has now announced his next project titled Tuzhya Daarashi... Mahesh who said has always been inspired by the hit Marathi movie Maherchi saadi's lead Alka Kubal has found his next lead for this project. He has decided to rope in the new talk of the town Tanish Mukherjee after her stint in Big Boss 7. Tanisha is the daughter of yesteryear famous actress Tanuja.
Mahesh said he had been closely following Big Boss and after watching Tanisha had instantly decided to cast her in this movie as he feels she is the perfect candidate who can portray this role. When asked about the story of the film, he says it is a female oriented film and the role demands a submissive, non challenging character with self esteem issues who later falls in love and fights for it... He think Tanisha has the perfect balance between being submissive as well as being bold when needed.
Lets see how the story unfolds. Tanisha surely has movies coming her way after her stay in big Boss. Tuzhya Daarashi might be Tanisha's ticket to Marathi cinema and to the heart of the Marathi maanus, as we know Mahesh has made careers of many failed actors before.
