CHAPTER 7-THE DECISION

Manyata and D's both were in ds's office. The whole time D's had a strange look on her face. Finally after a long silence D's spoke.
D's: let me get this straight manyata.
Manyata gulped down but dared not look at D's and kept her head down.
After a discussion of hour or so both grand mother and daughter descended down the stairs. Brijraj was still in his fierce state while komal was a bit composed.
Ds: the decision is made. Manyata is going to help uday but on some conditions.
Brij: but mom...
D's held her hand to stop him from speaking further:
As I said my decision would be final. No more questions every1 may retire to their respective rooms.
Manyata was lost deep in her thoughts when a chirpy voice disturbed her.
Manyata immediately came back to life hearing7 her voice.
Ahana: mumma mumma
Said ahana shaking manyata.
Manyata: yesh my baccha?
Ahana: what all you thinking. I was calling u flom sho long( what are you thinking I was calling you from so long)
Manyata: awww sho sholly my baccha so did you miss mumma?
Ahana: yesh alot mumma!
Mumma when will I meet baba?
Manyata shocked: what?
Ahana: yesh I heald u and bua tolking that u will bling my ba..ba back wen will he come mumma?
Manyata caressed her face controlling the tears that had started to brim in her eyes. Thanks to her stars unnati arrived on right time. Unnati hugged ahana unnati: so what talks are the mother daughter having han?
Ahana kisses on her cheek: nothing bua i was jus asking mumma that when will baba come back.
It seemed as is all the colours suddenly flew off her face. Somehow she managed to lie.
Unnati: he will back soon my baccha till then go and play with vijay mamu na. He is desperate in meeting our youngest angel hai na manyata?
Manyata jus nodded. Ahana happily leaves the room to go to her mamu.
Unnati: how did she...
Manyata: she heard us talking.
Unnati just nodded. After what seemed like ages manyata finally managed to break the silence.
Manyata: did u want to ask anything unnzie?
Unnati nervously: yes actually I wanted to know
Manyata cut off: why did D's gimme permission right?
Unnati nodded.
Manyata: well as it is said unnati NO PAINS NO GAINS. ...

In ds's office,
D's: let us get this straight manyata why are u helping Uday?
Manyata chose to stay silent! D's was loosing her temper now.
D's: when I say something I expect u to answer me manyata.
She said a little loud anger clearly visible in her eyes.
Sensing the rising temper manyata quickly blurted out,
Manyata: so that ahana can get her father's love.
D's:have you gone mad manyata?you know how much he has troubled u right?He is a beast manyata why don't you understand???
Manyata's pitch raised: he's not a beast D's.
D's was taken aback by manyata's sudden outburst. But composed herself quickly.
D's: fine manyata you can help Uday. But on conditions.
Manyata: D's I'm ready for any of your conditions just lemme help Uday.
D's: okay so the only condition I have is once Uday recovers you'll leave him 4ever.
Manyata was shocked to death: what???
Tears brimmed in her eyes.
D's: you heard me right manyata.
Manyata: no D's. Please I cannot live without him please please don't do this please I beg you D's please.
D's couldn't see this broken state of her granddaughter. Tears brimmed in her eyes too.
Finally she took a decision against her brain.
D's: fine you can stay with him only if... If he proves his love...his mentality towards you in 6 months. If he fails to do that you would no longer see him.
Manyata's heart sank after hearing this. She had no idea how will Uday react after recovery.
She had to accept it. 6 months was not a big time span but if they were meant to be together, if their love was meant to be, if ahana was gonna get both her parents love then no one could stop them no one.

Unnati:oh no that means we have only 6 months?
Manyata: yes..
Unnati: I'll have to talk to dada's doctor then..
Manyata: I just hope unnati I don't have to suffer again.
Unnati kept a reassuring hand on her cheek: believe me manyata this time you will not a happy married couple forever and always. Dada will fulfill all the promises he had given to you.
Manyata: I hope so too unnati I hope so too...

It was the most special day of her life. Her marriage. She sat there in front of the mirror with a heavy viel on her face. Suddenly she felt two manly hands rest on her shoulders. Suddenly there were butterflies doing African dance in her stomach. She got up quickly...
Manyata:uday... What ar... Are you doing here??.. Uday Just smirked and took steps towards her while she moved back. Finally the chase stopped when manyata collided wid the dressing table.
He pinned her between his hands. He was about to lift her viel when manyata pulled it down again.
Manyata: Uday yo..you aren't..aarent suppose to see my face before marriage..
Uday smirked and moved towards her his nose touching her neck...
He left a trail of kisses there while manyata let out a moan..
Uday: and my princess who is gonna dare to stop me haan?
Manyata was going weak on her knees while suddenly they heard a voice from behind.
"We are gonna stop you"
Uday turned behind only to find jai and unnati ready to hit him. Colours flew away from his face while manyata giggled.
Uday quickly said to manyata: you are gonna pay for this laugh princess. Just wait for tonight!
He winked at her and quickly jumped out of window before the girls could catch him while manyata could do nothing but blush.
Jai and unnati made manyata sit on bed.
Unnati: gosh manyata dada can't even stay a day without seeing you.
Jai: I just don't know what is gonna happen once jiji is married.
I think he'll pack jiji in his tiffin and eat her at lunch and dinner.
Manyata: stop both of you please...
Jai: look some1 is blushing so much...
Unnati: anyways let's go down.. Everybodys waiting for bride.
Unnati and jai took manyata down to mandap where Uday was already waiting for his bride.
Finally manveer marriage started. It was time for the pheras.

The bride and the groom take the first step of the
seven vows to pledge that they would provide a
prospered living for the household or the family
that they would look after and avoid those that
might hinder their healthy living.

During the second step of the seven pheras, the
bride and the groom promise that they would
develop their physical, mental and spiritual
powers in order to lead a lifestyle that would be
healthy.

During the third vow, the couple promises to earn
a living and increase by righteous and proper
means, so that their materialistic wealth increases
manifold.

While taking the fourth vow, the married couple
pledges to acquire knowledge, happiness and
harmony by mutual love, respect, understanding
and faith.

The fifth vow is taken to have expand their
heredity by having children, for whom, they will be
responsible. They also pray to be blessed with
healthy, honest and brave children.

While taking the sixth step around the sacred fire,
the bride and the groom pray for self-control of
the mind, body and soul and longevity of their
marital relationship.

When the bride and the groom take the seventh
and the last vow, they promise that they would
be true and loyal to each other and would remain
companions and best of friends for the lifetime.

Then was the time for kanyadan.
After the pheras before the pandit could proceed Uday held manyata's hand and said to her...

"We have taken the Seven Steps. You have
become mine forever. Yes, we have become
partners. I have become yours. Hereafter, I
cannot live without you. Do not live without
me. Let us share the joys. We are word and
meaning, united. You are thought and I am
sound. May the night be honey-sweet for
us. May the morning be honey-sweet for
us. May the earth be honey-sweet for us.
May the heavens be honey-sweet for us.
May the plants be honey-sweet for us. May
the sun be all honey for us. May the cows
yield us honey-sweet milk. As the heavens
are stable, as the earth is stable, as the
mountains are stable, as the whole universe
is stable, so may our union be permanently
settled. I love you manyata and I promise to love u till my body takes its last breath. "

Tears brimmed in manyata's eyes all her family members looked proudly at their son-in-law while all the guests were left awed by the love of the love birds... And soon the marriage came to an end giving start to new life of this couple...

So we reach the end of this update. I just hope I haven't disappointed you all. Well I noticed that there are many silent readers. I just request them to please at least hit a like. I send almost 209+ pms and all I get is 40 or so likes. If I get poor response for this story too I promise to end it in next 2-3 updates or stop right there and then.
A single like and comment would harm no one but only inspire me to write more. I'm sorry I couldn't update this story as I have my prelims and this will be the first and last update till 24th Jan.

really loved chapter 7 mahi it was awesome i hope manveer r together and manyata wins the condition against ds 6 month in not a long time but a lot of things can be done hope uday recovers asap the flashback scene of manveer was superb really loved it especially how uday came into the manyata's room before marriage and how uday said all those things to manyata after taking the saath phere was just touching... do update whenever u can and thanks for the pm but gone miss ur stories a lot in the future

Hi Mahi, Awesome update Dear! I don't like the condition DS has put forth🤢. She has disappointed me tremendously. But then , she's thinking about the welfare of Manyata and Ahana ... so I guess , I forgive her😆! The mother/Daughter ... Manyata /Ahana scene was too cute😳. Loved their dialogues , and Ahana's slurred speech was adorable😳. Manveer wedding was beautiful. Uday is always impatient to do naughty things😆. Lucky Unnati and Jai came to "RESCUE" Manyata😉. All in all ... a great chapter. Waiting for Jan 24th now😉! Thanks 4 the PM😃.
