Why i feel Indian TV channel should introduce seasonal show--- Indian TV channel has tendency to run a show years after years. But every story has an end! one year or 6 months stories are perfectly fine for me! this times are enough for a proper story to execute! If any story ends in a limited episode or certain time period both viewers and channel will be happy! ---Viewers will be happy as they will get everything on this period under same casts! ---Actors can prove their acting ability on different show and concepts rather than doing a same role forever! ---Channel/PH can bring season two/three how many they wish to depending on the success. ---If any cast din agree to be part of new season they can bring new face on new season under the same theme. like QH could end within 1 year under same casts. Story could end perfectly with AsYa marriage Kids if they cute Billo Rani & Qureshi family part! Thry could bring season 2 again with fresh storyline under same theme same casts except those who would deny to be part of! this way i am sure excitement would be same as season one and PH/Channel wouldnt have to face tis situation from viewers like No QH without KaBhi, isnt it? i hope all channels agree's on such term so that audience are left with no option! This way everyone will be happy! frankly we saw many seasons on tv but they are not preplanned seasons we saw those season for unknown reason! Many can say audience wont accept but i insist this coz audience are bound to watch what TV channels and PH shows them! IF audience are left with no option then they would surely watch it :) PS... Keep it bullshit free! PPS... I appreciate SS production for their limited episode concepts for Life Ok show!

Hey...u know I've always thought of this...instead of daily soaps going on and on non-stop...they should have it in seasons...each season has it's own season..1 or 2 episodes a week...like the english tv shows...maybe end one season wth a cliffhanger...then viewers who like the show will be anticipating next season d next year..and d cast and crew also get to have a break in between seasons...

#Braich yes! ending on a high note then giving break to 3 months and bringing new season would work fine for me!

Agreed...if they introduce seasons then that can eliminate the unnecessary dragging as well. Between each season they can have a 6-12 month break so the cast can refresh themselves plus shoot for other shows/films in between. It can negate the feeling of redundancy.

Most definitely ! That is the best way out of this quagmire that is ITV. The PH should be ready with pre-production work in detail and start shooting with a BOUND SCRIPT.
There should be proper work timings allowing everyone to lead a normal working life.

The break between seasons will give them all time to revitalize and attend to other issues in their lives.

The process has already started with a show like '24'. There are others too . Once everyone sees the success of this formula many more will follow .

Better times are ahead for the actors , technicians , creatives and the PH and Ch too !

Cheers to that .. we will be the ultimate winners as this will surely bury the infamous saas bahu sagas and we will get to enjoy some quality shows watching them with the family.

Not a bad idea. It works in places like the US so it would be a good opportunity for the writers, actors and PH to regroup and come up with fresher storylines and new characters. I see in Inadian soaps that most of the time the rely on the goings on with one or two families. That has got to change. Long running soaps can happen. I give the examples of UK soaps Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale and others in that ilk. They feature on communities, have their quiet periods but come back with some really strong storylines involving different characters. I think the ph and writers should take up internships with these places and see how these places deal with storylines and actors.

#Xarina i agree! they can take internships to know how to deal with story line and new characters which will reduce the usual sas bahu drag we see on tv. this is high time writers and ph and channel take this steps

but these are serials as in soap operas ... compare it with Amercian soap operas, they come on 5 days a week for 1 hour!! Well about 40-45mins to be precise if you dont count the advertisements.
