thats what I feel too...at that moment he realized "It doesnt matter", he just cant live without her, cant leave her...remember the line..."Kyun Khushi se dur jaane mein itni taqleef ho rahe hain mujhe. I...Damn it." and he turned around, may be to go back to her. at that moment all confusion, mistrust & denial was gone...and then after kidnapping, the idea of not seeing her again made him confess like that...I see it this way...
