But the time has changed, na? Now girls also take financial responsibilities raising a family. Law should be changed according to present situation. According to old Hindu law, girls don't used to get father's property.. Reason? A father/brother used to send her to her sasural with a fat amount of dowry. Hindu law of India is amended. Dowries are prohibited. Girls get equal amount of property. IMO, Muslim law on property should also be changed.

I actually think it's fair. The male's have to spend their money on bills, and provide 'leisure money' to the rest of his family. The female's legally do not have to use their money for any of this stuff, it is there's to do what they want with. If you look at it like that the way money is split is actually fair. The female has her own money which is solely for herself and then if she's unmarried her brother, and if she's married her husband will also provide for her from the money they have.

Also I've heard Saif and SRK are the richest too.

Don't you think, this could be a reason why a Muslim brother/husband discourages his sister/spouse to take a full-time job.. to have her own money.. her own property?
