As per this TOI article he was a taxi driver in London n New York before becoming an actor and he did some soaps too.

I drove a Taxi for a while, I got paid in cash and made more in the holiday season then I could make with a formal shirt and tie job. Taxi driving job is really good overseas its not like back home.

In this day and age with the wages falling and cheap labor being imported, the gap between the blue color and white color jobs is narrowing anyway...besides the stress levels in many white color jobs is just too much to handle.

I often curse myself for getting into IT. Shittiest field ever.
